Kolakoski’s Pre-SoV Custom Corner

Well met!

Remove “Marshall” from his name and make him Utgar? Change his Class from Lawman to Rogue? Points?

Well met!

Of all the things to say . . .

Could he be a Lawman and Utgar? Also, Wait Then Fire is superfluous.

Well met!

Just gave a similar power to my new custom, Ueshi. It’s range is 3 spaces, the same as Ueshi’s Range, and it also covers an adjacent Friendly figure.

Re: Kolakoski’s Pre-SoV Custom Corner - Lawman

Well met!

So we now have:

The Combat Company’s Wild Bill figure is

MARSHALL J.T. “COLDCOCK” MCALL

Utgar
Human
Lawman
Tricky

Medium 5

Life 5
Move 5
Range 6
Attack 3
Defense 3

Points 110

Coldcock Special Attack
Range 1, Attack 4
Target an opponent’s figure. If it is engaged to a Friendly figure other than Coldcock, it subtracts 1 defense die.

Evade and Fire
If Coldcock rolls defense dice against an attack from a figure within 6 clear sight spaces, roll a 20-sided die. On a roll of 15 or higher, Coldcock ignores all damage, and may move up to 3 spaces and the attacking figure receives a wound. If Coldcock leaves engagement, he will take no leaving engagement attacks.

Coldcock Special Attack: Do you mean the target subtracts one Defense die?

Nice.
Not sure Tricky is quite right. Corrupt. Opportunistic. Not sure.
Not up on my classic personalities.

Well met!

Garret Burns is Ruthless. 110 points seem right to you? Otherwise, I think we’ve nailed it. What do you think of the latest version of Ueshi? I thought Merciful was right for Ueshi because of Aikido, but someone said Ueshi was too aggressive for that.

UESHI

General: Einar
Species: Human
Class: Warrior
Personality: Fearless

Life: 5
Move: 6
Range: 3
Attack: 3
Defense: 3

Size: Medium 5

Points: 130

Double Assault

Aikido
When Ueshi would inflict enough Wounds to destroy a figure, instead leave it with one Life and roll a 20-sided die, on a roll of 1-18, remove one unrevealed Order Marker from its card; on a roll of 19-20 destroy the figure.

Evasive Deflection
When Ueshi or an adjacent Friendly figure rolls defense dice against an attack from a figure within 3 clear sight spaces of Ueshi, and a skull is rolled, roll a 20-sided die. On a roll of 15 or higher, all damage is ignored, Ueshi may move 3 spaces, and the attacking figure receives a wound. Ueshi never receives leaving engagement attacks during Evasive Deflection. Aikido applies to Evasive Deflection

I said Coldcock was too aggressive for Merciful. I think it works here.
I like the design. My guess was 120.

What is the difference between Double Assault and Double Attack?

Well met!

120 for Coldcock? No problem. Is 130 appropriate for Ueshi?

My theoryscape is not awesome but my initial thought was 150.
He will be going to be weirdly good.against squads especially with no range.
130 is a decent place to start testing.
You want to pair him with something that gets lots of attacks like Q9.

Really interested in how he plays.

Well met!

Do you think SoV will have a problem with either design?

Well met!

What is the difference between Double Assault and Double Attack?

Double Attack is just that, at whatever Range the attack has. Double Assault allows a ranged figure to attack twice, but only against adjacent figures.

Well met!

Coldcock still needs a figure. Workshop him anyway?

Forgot that is a big issue for SoV. Hmm, you may want to find new a figure first.

Well met!

Meanwhile, Superfrog hammered Ueshi in the Workshop thread.

Well met!

Uploaded Pathfinder’s new Elven Ranger (Sword version) to my images in the Gallery. Sculpt inspiration:

NIERIEL

General ???

Unique Hero
Species Elf
Class Rogue
Personality Reckless

Size Medium 4

Life 4
Move 6
Range 1
Attack 4
Defense 3

Points ???

Needle
After moving but before attacking, if Nieriel was not engaged when she moved, choose an opponent’s figure and roll a 20-sided die. On a roll of 15 or higher, the opponent’s figure rolls 2 fewer defense dice if attacked by Nieriel this turn.

Follow Through
If Nieriel attacks, she may attack again with 1 less attack die.

Double Parry
If Nieriel is attacked and a skull is rolled, roll a 20-sided die. On a roll of 15 or higher, Nieriel takes no damage. If the attack was a normal attack from an adjacent figure, that figure receives a wound.

The Rogue faction could use a melee unit. Choosing a figure first is a better method for me, I suspect.
