Re: Louisville Tourney Thread - May 27th - VC B+ And Under

I keep forgetting to update this page (due in part to the site being down) but the next event is July 1st.

Delta Rule of 12. 510 pts and 18 figures.

Sign up here on Heroscape.Org: https://heroscape.org/tournament/?Tournament=110

This is ScapeCon 3 practice so we'll need their maps.

Store Opens at 12 Eastern and the plan is to start at 12:30 Eastern.

Re: Louisville Tourney Thread - Sept 30th & Oct 21st NHSD

The event on Saturday has been cancelled due to only 3 people signed up.

Re: Louisville Tourney Thread - Sept 30th & Oct 21st NHSD

Curse my slacking off. My army was packed and ready to go, I was too slow on registering.

Re: Louisville Tourney Thread - Sept 30th & Oct 21st NHSD

Re: Louisville Tourney Thread - Sept 30th & Oct 21st NHSD

Just moved to Columbus, Indiana, about an hour from Louisville. I may try to make this tournament... can someone clarify the rules for drafting an army are? Thanks.

The tournament uses delta pricing, which is a system that changes the prices of most of the units in the game to make everything more competitively viable. I will link you the tournament builder, which has these changes already implemented for you to make your army.

Rule of 12 means that any common army card you draft cannot exceed 12 figures. You cannot draft more than 4 squads of Phantom Knights, for example; but you could draft 4 squads of Phantom Knights and 3 squads of Goblin Cutters.

Lastly, VC is a collection of unofficial units designed for and by the community. They are very well done and are created by an excellent team of heroscapers. They are awesome. For this tournament, you don't need to worry about them though. In that same breath, Megasilver banned deathreavers, the official unit because they are annoying.

I hope that was helpful. Let me know if I missed anything.

Let me find you a link to the tournament builder and the Louisville discord! Hope you can make it. I am in Greenwood, Indiana myself.

Was pretty upset to miss this one. See y'all soon.

Really glad to see the turnout was rife with new players! Great news

Curious why the Thanos and Silver Surfer restriction? I don't play much Marvel, so I'm not in on the metagame.

Regardless, cool looking format.

Silver Surfer can attack and run away. He's definitely stronger in a Hospital build with Ana, but it still annoying to catch with melee.

Thanos' ability to regenerate if you bring an army designed to stall a game so he can come back.

LONG time lurker here (since 2010 maybe?). First time posting.

I'm in central Louisville and would love to meet up with some locals for some games. I started collecting Heroscape sets back in maybe 2006, and kept up with acquiring what I could find at Wal-Marts and Targets up through about 2008 (up through Wave 4, about). After that, there were a few instances where I would grab some sets off Ebay, Other than a good friend I met in 2014, I've never had anyone else to play the game with.

I found out about the AoA reboot back in October of 2024, and my interest in the game was taken out of hibernation. I acquired the initial AoA sets and got to painting, which was a first. And its been a ton of fun doing the painting. I've also grabbed some 3d prints of the old-school units I missed out on, and am painting those up as well.

In any case, if theres anyone from the Louisville area that is still actively going to events, don't hesitate to message me! I've noticed events at Miso's (which I had not heard of, but I know the area because of TTD and the Warhammer place), which I would like to try to attend if they are still happening. Any other events are get-togethers I would love to know about.

Cheers from Louisville.

Hello!

Yes, we are still actively hosting events. In fact, the North KY scene Is the longest consecutive of running series of Scape events in general (Even if we have not been the largest)

We have an active crows now of about a dozen players normally, with others joining occasionally.

Events are still happening. I just tend to forget to post over here instead of on our Discord, which I see you have joined recently.

Thanks, Mega!

I'll be paying more attention to the Discord channel. Wildly enough, you posted an event message on it right now as I was looking at it again. Twilight Zone moment.
