Re: Kansas City Tournament - January 3, 2009

As long as I can get this day off, I'll be attending.

Re: Kansas City Tournament - January 3, 2009

Put me down as a maybe. As long as the weather is decent, I should be there!

Re: Kansas City Tournament - January 3, 2009

Heroscape Diva and myself can also be put down as maybe - I will get it on the calender and we will see what happens as Jan 3 gets closer.

Re: Kansas City Tournament - January 3, 2009

Well, I mentioned this tourney to my teens tonight, and it looks like you can expect at least a van load from me as long as the weather behaves. The ones that went to the Skirmish all had a blast and can't wait for the next tournament.

Wisp, DeadEye, Tiny Timmy, and my nephew will be coming as part of the caravan if we can make it.

Re: Kansas City Tournament - January 3, 2009

I'm not sure if I will be coming, as January 3rd is also my birthday... I would love to come but I know my family would like to see me that day too.

Re: Kansas City Tournament - January 3, 2009

Got the approval for the day off today. Put me and CrazyAngel down as definitely coming.

Celebrate on Friday the 2nd instead. C'mon... we gotta face off, it's now an official tradition.:D

Re: Kansas City Tournament - January 3, 2009

PRIZE ALERT!

Paradox22 just received word from Wargamer's Headquarters that they'll be sending us the following prize package:

One $40 gift certificate!
Three $20 gift certificates!
Forty $3 gift certificates!

Many thanks to Wargamer's Headquarters for supporting this event! Please check'em out - besides, it's always best to have an idea of what you'll do with your prize!

Re: Kansas City Tournament - January 3, 2009

I've had great service shopping with Wargamer's HQ, and at truly excellent prices. The flat shipping rate really makes them a bargain. That's really great that they are offering so much support.

I'm considering coming, though the 5 hour drive in winter weather makes me a low maybe.

On Glyphs: There will be no brandar/fakes in the pool, is that correct?

Nope... no fakes...no Summoning or Massive curse.;) I definately got my fill of those at the Skirmish. My poor Raelin is still recovering after being teleported almost every game...then having her head bashed in by adjacent axe weilding minions; and I know Kharma is tired of losing valuable minions to the massive curse. LoL

The tournament glyphs are now listed on the front page.

Re: Kansas City Tournament - January 3, 2009

Put me down as a definate, if the weather is good enough to have the tournament, I'll be there, available to bring maps or whatever too.

Re: Kansas City Tournament - January 3, 2009

Call me crazy, I am actually considering this.

8 hour drive each way :-| Yeah, I am crazy but if I can get the free time and snag a partner in crime, I might just make it.

So I am maybe a maybe :p

I'll go ahead and call you crazy.

but if someone 8 hours away can be a maybe, I guess you can include me, too.

Your crazy ( you should have come up this way sooner ) I hope to make it too as it will be my first KC event (long overdue)

Bah, I do that all the time.

NB I am also a "maybe" for this event.

As if the competition wasn't tough enough already. ;)
It would be cool if you could make it.

Hmm, I don't think my knights have ever played against anybody from Texas.

Re: Kansas City Tournament - January 3, 2009

Wow... this guest list is really heating up. If all of these "maybe's" turn into "I'm definately attending" this will be a very diverse group of competitors!:p Can't wait!

I assure you, I will be the fodder and gladly so!

Heck, it will just be nice to go to an event where I don't have to decide anything other than my army!

I have the time secured so it looks like I will make it.

Re: Kansas City Tournament - January 3, 2009

Awesome.
The weather had better be decent around here so I can make it down. This is shaping up to be a fun one.

;) Thanks, Ry, for chipping away at the ceiling of what I consider a reasonable drive for a HS tourney! I'm sure my wife will be pleased (but, honey, it's only fair - the Texans drove to our tournament...)

Seriously - hope you can make it, and possibly drag a player or two with ya!
