Iowans

If any North Iowans are up for it, I'm gonna be hanging out at the library this weekend, if anyone wants to come play some 'Scape, drop me a PM. Only 1 or 2 people can come though.
 
So this thread doesn't look very active lately, but it looks like I'm going to be moving to Iowa City this summer for graduate school. Just wondering if there's anybody in or around there who would be up for some 'Scape sometime.
 
Actually ISU is a better school than IU for chemistry, but I didn't get accepted there...so IU it is. But IU pays more, which means more heroscape for me :)

I'd just like to say that he's a very fun and capable Scaping companion. It's also worth mentioning that his collection is vast and includes everything ever produced with multiples of most sets. For some it might be worth traveling from other areas of the state for. Anyways he will be missed here, and if you Iowans don't appreciate him some of us will be upset.

(By the way we need to get some more games in before you go, perhaps after Wave D1 comes out?)

So I can do better in the Wisonsin tournaments when he's gone. Although since he's one of our prominent organizers there might be less tournaments to do better in. Double-edged sword there.
 
Thanks ElvenEnvy! I don't know if I'd call myself a prominent organizer though...anywho Elffy and Supergeek, I'm sure I'll be seeing you around at tournaments in the area.

Trying to spark interest/get a group together in the Eastern Iowa area. We've got a great FLGS in North Liberty that is going to host a Launch Party on 9/22. I'd love to get the numbers up. @Sir Heroscape - Burlington isn't far! :) It's a lot better now that 218 is 4 lanes the entire way. I live in CR but game down in North Lib

That’s so awesome!!! Unfortunately I can’t make it…but I hope they do more events in the future. How many people do you know plan on attending? Is the event in the Battle Network yet? Also, future events I’ll likely only be able to make on a Saturday. What time do they plan on holding events?

Oh, shoot! Dang mang, that's too bad. Next time! We've got 10 spots open as that's the number of promo Shioris we've got. I'd LOVE to fill 10 spots, but we'll see. Beyond the the Launch Party on 9/22, it's really our clay to mold. That was one thing I wanted to get a pulse on from attendees to see what semi-consistent availability people might have. I like weekends too, Sundays slightly more, but we could make Saturdays work. I only know of a Saturday morning SW Unlimited thing at the shop, so noon or after would prolly be fine. I guess we'll see... I'll let ya know!
