How are points counted in official tournaments?

Hey all- Experienced heroscaper but I have never done a tournament but plan to with the relaunch of HS. I looked at the PDF with the official rules and maps, but it was very vague. If the game ends, how are the remaining points dictated? Are damaged heroes divided my the wounds on them? Likewise for squads and missing units? Appreciate any help!

Everything you said is correct!

Suppose you have Krav Maga who are 100 points. If you killed 1 guy, you'd earn 33 points.
Suppose you have Kaemon Awa who is 4 life, 120 points. If you dealt 2 wounds to him, you'd earn 60 points.

Just to clarify- In the organized play material it indicates that after 6 rounds if the game isn't over you count points- So you just count the remaining points using that formula?

Oh. I have no idea about the Organized Play document; I haven't read it. In the event I played in last weekend, there was no Round Limit, instead, we had a time limit, where at the end of the hour you would count the points in said fashion.

I believe the rule book states to count all active cards ... if you have one squad member left you would count the whole card value.

The official rule is to count your remaining figures on the board using Partial Card Scoring. It's in the AOA rulebook (with detailed explanation and examples).

Yep - old "official" rules were full card scoring, but AoA changed the "official" rules to partial card scoring. Always check with your tournament director on which method they use - even before AoA, some used full and some used partial card scoring. Whichever method is used can change your end game strategy if a game is going to the time limit (that usually wasn't a problem in games I've played).

Also, make sure to specify whether you are scoring 'points left alive' or 'points killed'.

Points left alive is much easier (and more common) 'cause you only need to check at the end. Points killed must be recorded throughout the bout because there are some units that can re-spawn so you have to kill them repeatedly (Thanos, Marro Warriors, other hiveborn Marro, Zombies, etc.).
