Hello Heroscaper Guy here,
my parents are wanting me to pick what I want for Christmas and from their reaction last year, I'm not going to ask for board games. I picked out some movies, but they said ask for things other than that. I'm thinking of asking for this stuff too: The Bookman Histories, The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy with all five books (Read the first and loved it), and Ender's Game. Any other suggestions and also a review of the Bookman Histories? Or should I just ask for gift cards?

Your ideas are good, as are gift cards. The upside to gift cards is you can use them to buy the games they won't buy you.

...a review of the Bookman Histories?

Pretty good steampunk, a really nice mashup of all the era-appropriate stuff. If you have a favorite 1850s-1920s anything, you're likely to find it in there somewhere. He really does have a story he wants to tell and it really does take three books to tell it. I was mildly disappointed by resolution, but the journey was amazing.
