I’d like to suggest you reach out to Dallas Games Marathon. Since they are a gaming club they have multiple rooms we can use depending on turnout. Also they are open pretty late compared to other stores so time crunch wouldn’t be an issue.

And October 19th is already booked marked as Heroscape day on their schedule.

Also I’ll have a chat with the wife but I think I’ll be able to attend!

Yeah, I'll reach out to them and see what the story is there.

I may have as many as 5 players coming with me, not counting my Dad, I'll keep the attendee list up to date. For now I only put down 2 spots for my buddies, if more than that plan to come I'll put them in the list. So far Kane is coming, Leo, Sam, Nathan, & Jim are all tentative. There are other guys, we'll see how our Heroscape nights at the store go, I've been telling the new players about this tournament.

I’m interested but need to clear up my schedule. Quick question what for the double blind format entail?

It's basically just a regular game, the double blind part is referring to each player not knowing what army their opponent is using. Just bring your army, and you win if all of your opponent's figures are eliminated.

I’ve got another one of my guys from my Dallas Games Marathon group interested.

Also what’s the ruling for proxies of the old stuff? I have a couple 3D printed models from Trexy and some of the DnD figures that I proxy using boardgame figures where they reused the sculpt. I don’t have to bring lists with those models if that’s something you guys don’t want to allow.

If the 3D print is of the official figure you're fine to use it usually. Same with the D&D hasbro minis they reused in the D&D waves. If it's a completely different model you'll probably need to clear it with Dignan on a case by case basis.

It has to be very obvious what the figure is. We don't want any proxies or prints to cause confusion in the game. If it is a 3D print, it should be a very close match to the scultp and a similar paint job. For a DnD figure, if the model and paint are identical, it shouldn't be an issue. If you have a doubt, you can just reach out to me directly.

Pretty sure we're locked in on Dallas Games Marathon.

I've had talks with 2 locations. DGM and Game Nerdz in Mesquite. We are working through the final details (working out arrangements and costs) and I had to walk the space at Game Nerdz today to make sure it would work if we went that route. I'm waiting on two last pieces of information from the venues before I lock in.

Sorry for the delay, it's just tough to work through new relationships with venues.

Not a problem at all. It’s tough work to set up these events. Thanks for putting everything together.

IMPORTANT UPDATE
We have confirmed the location. We will play at Game Nerdz in Mequite:
1425 Gross Rd #102, Mesquite, TX 75149

They have a very nice space for us and are able to accommodate us that weekend. It should be a great spot for us.

That said, we do have to have the tournament on
Sunday the 20th instead of Saturday the 19th.

BATTLE NETWORK SIGNUP

Everyone, I have also created the event on the Renegade organized play system. You can sign up for an account for free. Then just respond here with the email you used and I'll get you added to the event.

This is Renegade's system for tracking records and events. It will also run the pairings and give should give us some nice features on the tournament day. I figure we'll give it a go and see what happens.

Annoucement

I did a little more digging into the battle network system Renegade has set up and I'll need everyone to create an account when they get a chance and sign up for our event. The link is in the OP and below. This should be a pretty quick process and it will give everyone access to all the pairing information, etc. on the day of the event, so people know where they are and don't always need to track down a TO for information. Hopefully it works well.
