Heroscapers that are published authors

I figured this was as good a place as any to post this. I have a book of poetry (see top of the page) and I wanted to share one of the poems.

Lucid Night

Rising on ethereal wings, a moonless night
Lucid dreams are in the air tonight
Gossamer flaps in the breeze, pink and purple sight.
Phantom winds are in the air tonight.

Pearly clouds illuminate, dreams are glowing cold
Distant rhythms vibrate my glittering soul
Stars, wet with birth, eagerly they shine
Upon the forests and the fields and seas of liquid time

Vengeful spirit riders, softly closing in
On their hell-born steeds comprised of spectral wind
Angels in the distance, percussion from their hearts
Dancing in the sonic wind
Dancing in the sonic wind

Shadows in the morning mist, silent in the gloom
Tongues about their faces flick, whisperings of doom
Angels phasing into stars, never come this way;
Time has pierced the soul of night – now breathe the light of
day

I never really looked at this thread before, but today I took a look at the first post. I saw the names, and I was like is @Mossman the same David Wood that I've heard on the Dead Robots' Society podcast? It's weird how I know of him from two very different worlds.

I wish I could post in here deserving of mention in the first post, especially considering the mention of the DRS podcast (yes, I'm one of the crazies who has listened to every episode). Some day I'll get that butt in the chair and put down some of the thoughts in my head.

Grats. Very cool.

I take it you went more board game than Fighting Fantasy on this one?

I co-wrote another adventure for Dark City Games. It should be available in a few months, after the artists are done with it.

I completed another adventure for Dark City Games. It's a sci-fi adventure and will be ready for purchase in a few months.

My new adventure, a sci-fi romp called Deceit and Betrayal, will be available soon!

Check out their other titles, which are compatible with Melee/Wizards, aka The Fantasy Trip by Steve Jackson!

Just to update the thread; Deceit and Betrayal is not ready yet for sale - I'll post here when it is. Also, I am working on a Lost World adventure, which doesn't fit any of the existing Dark City Games genres, so the guys at game company agreed that we should invent a new rules set for pulp adventures! It seems that DCG is turning into GURPS.

Quick Update:

Deceit and Betrayal by Nick Gauthier is still imminent, just taking a little longer because Counter Artwork is not yet done. Should be a few weeks away (knock on skull).

Operation Battleaxe is still close, but George's new job has taken some serious time from putting the finish on it, so a while longer. Two months, maybe?

Nick has talked elsewhere on these boards about a Lost World adventure he is working on! Duly noted! The Committee for Making Sure You Get Your Work Done has been dispatched! (George and I are looking forward to it, Nick!)

Finally, I have an adventure in the works, where you are gladiatorial prisoners in Blackledge, the Dwargg city you see from afar deep underground under the mountain of Cygnosa! It is a return of sorts to Raid on Cygnosa, investigating a haven of evil, from the worst possible perspective. It is called Uprising! and I think it will be my best adventure yet!

Lots of stuff going on here at the Secret Antarctic DCG Base! Thanks to all of you for supporting us!

If you would write a solo programmed adventure (like Fighting Fantasy or CYOA), using 5e D&D rules, what would be a good adventure hook? I'm familiar with The Ghost of Lion Castle (BSolo, which someone has converted to 5e) and Lathan's Gold (XSolo). I'm specifically looking to write an adventure that uses 5e rules. Any ideas are appreciated. If you are interested in collaboration, especially if you have art skills, send me a PM.

I have published four solo adventures for Dark City Games.
