Heroscape Poster

Dr. Weirdscaper

If it doesn't use 20+ sets, you're not doing it ri
I noticed this at my local game shop the other day:

Re: New Heroscape Poster

That looks like the enlarged cover from one of the comic books.

Re: New Heroscape Poster

 I've never seen a poster like that! If that is indeed new, then it may show that WotC is actually marketing this gem that they had dropped in their laps.

Re: New Heroscape Poster

I haven't seen it before, but I doubt it is new. It is RotV Drake (grapple gun rather than grapple arm) and other figures that have been out for a long time. A new poster would probably feature New Drake/Raelin and/or Waves 8 and 8.5.

Nice find, nonetheless.

Re: New Heroscape Poster

I talked to one of the employees at the shop, and he said it came with
the latest HS shipment.

That's interesting. Maybe we can take it as advance notice of reprints of RotV, Wave 1, Wave 3 and Raknar's Vision.

Re: New Heroscape Poster

Now if only they make the poster available to the public...:pray:

Great for any Heroscapers "Scape Room"

Re: New Heroscape Poster

I just emailed my FLGS to see if they have it and if they would sell it to me :p

Re: New Heroscape Poster

I wonder who the pair of sinister eyes in the background belong too?

Re: New Heroscape Poster

I have one of these posters, and it is a few years old, circa the comics. It was sitting in a stack in the lobby of the Phantom of the Attic in Oakland, near Pittsburgh. They used to put all kinds of freebies there before they went all L.A. on us and moved to a luxurious studio across the street.

Mine is folded into fours, though. EDIT: And the artwork, though similar, is a variant.

Hmm, never seen it before, but even if its old, I guess its great that WOTC or whoever sent it, is actually putting some posters out or something. I know I'm new to Heroscape, but even after two months, I've never seen any kind of product promotion, posters, flyers, commercials or darn near anything for it (perhaps in the early days, but alas, I wasn't there). Even with a new release. These things are on some kind of "assassin" release phase, where you don't know its there, but then suddenly, BAM, you run into it. It wouldn't help if WOTC would actually put out a little more promotion for such a great product. I guess, this is a start.

Wish I had grabbed several back then. The friends I could have made...the rep I could have received....oh well.

I'm better off earning rep and making friends on my own merits anyhow. Still, it would have been nice for everybody. Hindsight...

Nice poster and find Dr. WeirdScaper!

I won the GenCon 07' Heroscape Tournament poster (main picture for the "events" section in the gallery). :gencon:

I wish we still had a FLGS here...The only true game/gaming store left that carries HS (that I know of) is Games of Berkeley... Is there anyone who knows of another in the East Bay that carries HS?

Kee-Mo-Shi

I recognize those "mystery eyes" from back when they did the "mystery charater" that a fan created. Artwork is from that timeframe as well.

It seems to me that WotC is getting rid of old promotional items to clear out the warehouse and promote the product at the same time. It makes me wonder why Hasbro made these posters and did nothing with them. Thats all I've got.

Dr. Weirdscaper, I'm sure with the number of hexes you own you could recreate the poster as a mosaic that looks good from a 1/4 mile away.

Go and create.

My son has a copy of this poster hanging on the door to his room. 8) I got from a comic shop about two years ago.

I called Marketing at WOTC because I was running a tourney in June and was looking for posters to give away. They sent me about 25 of them. I am sure if you give them a call they have them lying around.
