Heroscape Poetry?

I wrote this in a weird moment and am suprisingly proud of it. It could suck, but I'm posting it. I doubt anyone else has done this before. But here goes...

Spoiler Alert!

Gods: "Dang it, man!! Four blanks!!"

Nice poem; very Heroscapian.

Well done. There are a few poems about Heroscape floating around.
Here is one that reminded me of yours.
Spoiler Alert!

There are a few more, mostly in the Fan-Fic archive, I can post or link them if you like.
You should try your hand at the Fan-Fic contest sometime.

Awesome! I want to, and I will as soon as I have time. I have like a million projects backed up right now. Soon, hopefully, soon.... :)

Here was my entry to a Valentine's Day Custom Competition.

Next up, Valentine's Day. I'm not shy about proclaiming the moments in which I make a great intellectual leap that moves Heroscape forward for the unwashed masses. This is third of the big three: initiative hats, adjacent startzones and properly constructed poetry for card language.

If I've got my jargon right, it's iambic pentameter with a Shakespearean rhyme scheme. Wait for the stamp of approval from 1Mmirg before telling your friends though. You don't want to look silly if I've just made it all up.

Dude, this is awesome. ^.^

This is older stuff...

Spotted Flowers

She places her petal hands upon his chest
Seeking to swab the stain
Sheared sums
Cage
Silver bars forged from bone and emotion
Suppressing the perpetual pain
Her knife had sunk deep
Driving
Striving
Finding his heart
A sheath
Unremitting reminder
Bashful illumination playing hide and seek
Drunk meek
Lost on wine
Tattooed to a barley floor
His well
Leave him be
Asylum
Bulwarks strengthened
A siege

This is truely amazing. Like, really. Awesomeness.

This is an impressive poem by TGRF.

Children are on the fields, laughing, rolling, having fun.
Fish swim through the streams, splashing, slithering, in the sun.
Birds fly through the sky, singing, soaring, in the air.
Creatures run through the grass, galloping, trotting, to their lair.

But fires on the horizon do blaze.
War approaches with deadly gaze.
Smoking, choking, trees do fall;
Crushing, slicing, and killing all.

Armies are on the fields, yelling, clashing, slaying foes.
Bodies swim through the streams, lifeless, deadly, rotting clothes.
Arrows fly through the sky, stinging, arcing, in the air.
Warriors run through the grass, hunting, searching, glassy stare.

Thanks Tornado. That was just me trying to get in the mood for a fan fic entry... I actually didn't mean for it to end there, but that's as far as I got. You can only do so many rhymes. ;)
~TGRF.

That is usually what happens to me. I had one that was just two lines and many, many years later, I was able to add two more. I believe that was as far as it ever went.

Hey look! My thread is two pages! I feel so special. I really like that poem, TGRF. It's splendid. (I just really like poetry in general, though...) ^.^
