Heroscape FanFiction Collaboration - REGISTRATION CLOSED

Honestly, @TheAverageFan y'all wouldn't have made it this far...except that @DestroyerHive aka Lorca aka that funny character who is way smarter than she lets on, decided to tackle the one at the back at the same time @Tornado gave her an opening to do so. I had to give it to you.

To be fair. There's always multiple ways things can go. I like to make the game as realistic as possible. If everything always went exactly how I dictated it, well, it wouldn't really be a game for you, would it? Your actions absolutely influence how each scenario goes. The trick is weaving it in such a way that the overall story still progresses. Y'all are making that both way more challenging and a lot more fun (on my end at least).

Well met!

Hoping I didn't overreach. All a legendary fighter needs is a moment's inattention.

I'm kinda used to it at this point lmao. Just a heads up, if you say "Here's what I do and here's what happens." I'm still going to say what actually happens. I'll just read it as "Here's what I do and here's what I want or intend to happen as a result."

Also @kolakoski The she-elf is not holding her sword. It's now in her belt. Not sure how to work sweeping her sword out of her hand into the story here.

I never actually said I hit the staff to the glove, I was pausing for a reaction. Was hoping they would offer to remove it, but I guess I can roll with that.
Could have been clearer, I did have it as a straight smash and then thought better just before posting.

dangit. Yeah, I completely misread that.

Guys in the future, you're welcome to add a spoiler below your post and just say what your intention is. I'll take that into account for sure. So in this case it would be

Spoiler Alert!

Then the same thing will happen because Asha loves it when you mess yourselves up. But it can go other ways in different scenarios.

Keep in mind that everything around you is alive with its own properties or their own objectives.

In open rounds you can hop in whenever.

EDIT: Also @kolakoski Macduff? That reference hit me side eye. LMAO. That was really good!

Hey fellas. I will be away from the game for a few days. My Pawpaw died and I'm going to Lousiana for the funeral. Play resumes Sunday (assuming my flight gets back in time).

It's all good guys. He won life. Lived to be almost 97, was always active in the community and with his family. Still drove himself around. He was tired and did a lot of sleeping, but otherwise stayed functional right up until the last few days of his life. 7 kids, 18 grandkids, 19 great grandkids. He was a happy guy and often said he had no regrets. I can only hope to be the same.

Oh and when I said play resume Sunday, I meant the next round starts monday. Y'all are still welcome to respond to the current encounter if you haven't already.

Could I get some clarification on our surroundings?
This is a giant cavern with buildings/homes?
The light is like a beam from the ceiling and moving towards us?
What are the exit options?

Yeah, apologies. I meant to lay out a map and more descriptions. Just been crazy with family stuff and work right now. Here's a small info dump to get you guys oriented.

The cavern is actually a massive subterranean world. There are sections where great walls of rock webbed with more tunnels and caverns rise to meet the ceiling (overworld). These are shown on the map as ridges/mountain ranges. Otherwise it's like being above ground only the sky is the bottom of the surface world. The light is a mystery, but seems to bathe the whole region in light, behaving like a sun.

You are in a "surface" town. So it'll be just like being in a regular town except that it's technically underground. The fort you were being held in lies on the outskirts of the town protecting it from intruders and regulating trade and doing performing other functions of town forts. You have choices. You can flee into the town proper and try to learn more about the drow and their motivations. or you can leave the town entirely, get a head start while the drow are trapped inside...or use the fact that the drow are trapped inside to force a conversation/threaten them with being dragged into the light.

Up to you guys.
