If she ends up being a Warrior, Grimlock is a Warrior that has an ability that cares about unrevealed OM's on his card. He doesn't have any way to make the OM's leave his card though. WW, Hawkgirl, Grimlock, & someone to remove OM's from cards could be a fun little army. Or does the ability only work if the OM was specifically removed from that card? Like can you have Ozy remove an OM from Superman's card, and then Hawkgirl uses her power to take it back from Ozy then place it on WW card?

Great calls, Nobody, thank you! John was definitely the main one discussed during the 1.0 design.

It does specify previously removed Order Marker. You can also do stuff with like Silver Surfer, TMNT, etc. with it, and since Hawkwoman doesn't depend on playing inside her faction, that's not tough to pull off. That said, no one complained about any of that in 1.0 and it was totally viable there, so I'm not going to fret about it unless someone says to. :p

Does Grimlock have any outgoing Warrior synergy or would she basically work the same with him regardless? Wonder Woman recruits warriors to the JL, so that covers that bit for Wonder Woman.

No synergy from Grimlock, so yeah WW is the JL hook and that's all that was needed. She can be an officer and the 3 of them would play the same way. Not sure who can remove an OM from Grimlock's card in a way you would want to do it, but the Ozy protection is still cool no matter who's she's playing with.

So are we feeling good about the mechanics here and about Officer as a class? Planning to give this a full 72 hours then propose directly to Art if no one has any concerns.

I'd love to have a little more vision about where Officer is going before we make that change.

Nova Corps is one of those factions where I have no immediate plan to LD them, but I want to one day and that makes me feel incredibly attached and possessive towards them. But, like, in a totally healthy way. :p If we're making Officer into more of a general SPAAACE COP class, I'd love to shift Nova Prime and other future Novas over there.

I still think Kilowog is a big design limiter. We discussed the thematics, and I think it's justifiable that him giving people range represents him making them constructs or whatever. But I also don't want every Officer we make to feel limited by the most super duper stat booster in our entire game. So I'd love to have some idea of what we're going to do with him.

I think even just making the +1 Move and Attack global to all Officers and the +1 Range and Defense specific to GLs would help a lot.

A Nova Corps GL team up sounds fun to me. If Officer is a Space Cop vibe for us, then the 1st Rocket Racoon design could be considered. It might get tricky figuring out what's a lawman and what's an officer going forward. Alternate idea would to make all the Officers Lawmen.

When I wrote up that class thingy I was assuming everyone shouting out classes/other things that were actually just a faction tie would be replaced by the new faction tags, I know we're going more of a straight port, but I feel like opening up Officer and having Kilowog specialize in Lanterns makes sense.

GREEN LANTERN LEADERSHIP
Before taking a turn with Green Lantern, you may remove one green Battery Marker from this card and add one to the Move, Range, Attack and Defense numbers of each other Hero in the Green Lantern faction you control for as long as Green Lantern remains in play. You may not add more than two to any Hero in the Green Lantern faction's Move, Range, Attack or Defense numbers with this special power.
There's probably a shorter way to do the faction callout, but that's the gist.

Kilowog should only boost GLs, but having GLs synergize with other space cops will be a huge fun win.

I think a divide still makes sense, it's kind of like the divide between a Crime Fighter and like any Earth's Greatest Defender/Champion type class. Some just operate on a different scale.

I prefer this as well, otherwise all the heavies will crowd out the Earth-based cop types from the Lawman faction. They should stay separate.

That said, for Officer, I'm totally into it as a "powered space cop" class and I think JL Hawkman and Hawkwoman fit in. I'd love for them to have *some* synergy out there for Officers specifically as well.

I like the idea of Kilowog's boosts being a bit more split.

Ultimately, it's a conversation for Kilowog's conversion, but I'd say I really don't like him doing the two turns for +2. You end up with an army that's really really really good in the match ups where it's good and then if there's an army that's got the tools to beat them (mostly auto wounds and normal attack avoidance) they're basically terrible. So they just end up being super match up dependent.

I'd rather max Kilowog at +1 boosts all around, maybe not even make him burn a turn and a marker for that, but just like grant them, or even grant them in an aura, and make him feel like a more active part of the battlefield, not like some cheesy thing you waste the first to turns doing so you can have super Lanterns.

Oh, yeah I don't mind the Hawkpeoples being officers. That's kinda cool. Kilowog definitely seem the problem here and will have the most tweaks.

Agreed. I'm just hoping he can be tweaked down to be reasonable and usable outside of the GLs, not restricted to them with his current over the top boost. But, again, that's an issue for the eventual Kilowog conversion.
