No! Not the crap they put out in theaters! The Stuff you watch when you load the game.

Some of my favs:

Dynasty Warriors 5:
Awesome and well done. There's a reason these guys have won awards for their animations.

Mechwarrior 3:
While not graphicly amazing, it's really one of the best mech movies out there. Lots of great action.

Mechcommander:

The acting could have been better, but I really liked this one. It fit the game perfectly.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War:

I know reaper won't agree, but this is an awesome opening. Very well done and very true to the universe. I must see for any 40k fan.

Honorable mention: World of Warcraft
I loved it, but it needed more action.

The Soulreaver games one and two.

By todays standard not very flashy, but the voice acting and story are phenominal......

best games I've played to date (IMO)

I'd also have to go with Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. It's one of the best openings I've seen.

Diablo II and Warcraft 3 scenes are quite nice also.

As for console systems. I'll say the Onimusha series have really nice cinematics and movies.

Being a TEKKEN fan, I'm gonna have to throw those games in aswell. They were awsome and each character had their own end scene.

Mortal Kombat II...

On the Super Nintendo...

If you held down the L and R buttons while the game was starting, Shao Khan and the dude with 4 arms would come out, and throw a beatdown on the Konami symbol.

And if that doesn't make you crack a smile, you're a cold cold pickle pucker.

my games are

monkey island(and co all ththat 2d clik and pointe adventures from lucas arts)

capcom games (mvs capcom 2) :!: (sf, snk vs capcom)

animal crossing

harvest moon(gba)

off
mk2 man that was cool, i hope armageddon will rock.
warhammer dow the intro was so cool the game a littel boring(i want a 3rd pron oder ego shooter like hat like graw)

DS, I can't believe you didn't mention MW4: Mercenaries. Somebody made a music video of all the MW movies set to Bon Jovi's "It's My Life". It's very good, not great, but very good. I have it somewhere on my harddrive.

Don't forget Dark Forces 2.

MechWarrior 2 (PC)

Soulcalibur II (PS2)

Virtual On - Oratorio Tangram (Dreamcast)

Shinseki GPX Cyber Formula (GameCube)

The Need for Speed (PC)

Katamari Damacy (PS2) :D

Devil May Cry 3 (PS2)

Mobile Suit Gundam - Encounters in Space (PS2)

Oh, it's not bad, for that context - in fact, it certainly caught a sense of action and a tinge of morale/excitement, IF YOU LIKE THAT THEME/universe.

But from an animation standpoint, it pales in technical quality to the Warhammer clip shown at SIGGRAPH. That's all I'm sayin'.

I still like the Heroes of Might and Magic intro movies. :)

tekken series anything with brian fury.

Blahhh,

I HATE Brian fury. My friend uses him and Bruce. They're tough SOBs. I'll stick with the Mishimas and Kazumas.

The FF7 scene where Sephiroth burns down the village and walks through teh fire always got me pumped.

It's also about 3-4 years older.

btw, I finally found the correct movie on that site. It was freaking sweet.

The game isn´t out yet i think, but the cinema trailers of hellgate london are the best i have seen so far. Check it out! :-D

Warhammer 40k and stuff also are pretty cool...

LucasArts adventure games had some great cinematics...the Monkey Island series, Full Throttle, Grim Fandango, etc etc etc.
