Fantastic Forces Unite - Campaign

I'm not sure what the "official ruling" on that is. When I lost in playtesting, I just restarted that individual scenario as is. :)
If you want to play it "officially" my guess is that you can restart the individual scenario, but that you lose any units that died during it for the remainder of the campaign.

That was what I thought. Good thing I was only using She-Hulk, Iron Man and Beast. :D

If I lose a battle, do I have to restart the campaign?
Its just a game, not a sanctioned tournament or anything. Play it however you want.

For me, I just start that scenario over with the same conditions that I had prior to playing it.

That's lame. You should at least lose the figures that died in it. :p

I lost on Subterrainia, I though Iron Man and She-Hulk were good choices, but Beast really did most of the work. He was able to attack multiple Moloids and remove OMs from Namor.

Yeah, that one's pretty tough too. It's hard only having 3 Unique Heroes to use when you want to go after all those glyphs and when Namor is lurking.

The only glyph I care to get from that scenario is the Mysterious Artifact glyph. I hate that I didn't get the Shrink Ray Gun from the first scenario.

Beast is also good at taking out the Moloids guarding Von Doom Castle.

Just popping in here to share a quick pic and a story. We played this quite a while ago, but finally got the pic downloaded, so, thought I'd share.

My boys and I have been having a blast with the FF scenarios. They each take turns as the good guys and bad guys; I help them out as needed, though mostly "teamed" with my youngest (4).

Really had a blast in Castle Von Doom. Doom ended up grabbing Invisible Woman's powers, and killing her off easily, then grabbing She-Hulk's powers and, well, that made him quite the beast. (BTW, She-Hulk may just be the most fun unit I've played recently--really like the way she plays.)

Finally, we caught Doom, but everyone is fried, wounded to the gills, and he has Hard Body, so he is not going easy. Finally, he rolls poorly and the evil villain is dispatched (or so we thought...). Great times!

Awesome! I am glad you enjoyed it. :D I am extremely proud with how these scenarios turned out.

They turned out really excellent. We've had fun with every one--thanks for all the work you put into them!

Hopefully someday we'll put together some more campaigns like this one. But, for now, we're gonna keep cranking out units for a while.

Yeah, I understand that. Scenario balance is a killer. But I'm sure grateful for the ones that you have done.

1Mmirg, have you played the ones in the World's Finest Rulebook? Only one I played was the Recruit the Batman scenario back when I first discovered C3G, because that map blew me away! I played 5 games, and Superman's team lost all 5. This was mostly due to a very lucky and streaky Catwoman!

I may have to look into those some day. I definitely think that Star City Bank scenario with the Loot Glyph would be a blast!

I played through the Fantastic Forces Unite Campaign myself, and made too many errors to really say whether the Fantastic Four won or not. But I had a lot of fun with it.

Thanks for posting the pic and sharing your story!

It's just all about priorities. :) Speaking for myself, there are so many units on my "bucket list" that take precedence over scenarios for me.

@david: I'm pretty sure that I've played all the released C3G scenarios. It's the first thing we do. My boys just love them.

I remember doing Recruit the Batman (and the others) back when we first were getting into C3G. I had an old MK archer as Green Arrow, a MK rogue hero (Alsyn Vale) as Black Canary, etc. I had maybe 10 Heroclix at the time and we used all kinds of random figures, from a jacked up looking Hulk to be Solomon Grundy to chess pawns to be thugs (dark pawns) and policemen (light pawns), but we sure enjoyed them. The scenarios were a big part of what sold us. I love having the chance to play the heroes in scenarios that match them, rather than just random mishmash slugfests. (Yes, my OCDs are showing again...)

We played all of the scenarios at least 2-3 times, sometimes more. Then my boys would play around with the figures on the maps until I got time to make the next ones. I'd come home from work and find everyone from Krug to Zelrig to little plastic knights from my boys' room crowded all over the city streets. :D

1Mmirg, you have just inspired me to work on the "lost X-Men Campaign" again. :D

So excited! :woot: I love the maps you shared before. I can't wait to see what you do with them!

Found the files on the hard drive for this campaign from many years ago and got an urge to play it. Is there a list of all the Heroclix figures that I'd need to buy? Any suggestions where to buy? Also, as I have only one each of the terrain expansions and some of these scenarios require two, is there a viable replacement invented by now (3d print perhaps)?
