1. Changed the patriotic personality into a keyword to match what we did with Cap. I put down Loyal as the new personality for now. I thought he was fairly loyal to Cap in the MCU, but open to better suggestions.

2. Not an expert on the Cross Over symbol stuff, so I just wanted to make sure I was doing it right. With him being the first version of Falcon in 2.0, wouldn't the symbol then appear on later Falcon cards from the comics instead of here?

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Breath

Loyal sounds good.

With this being an explicitly alt-universe take, I think it makes sense for this one to have the Crossover symbol. Especially since we've got a couple comics Falcons already so it'd be weird for them to be able to be played together. (It also gets a crossover symbol into the base set.)

Agreed with this. I think that movie versions by default should get the CO symbol if there are OG comic book versions that predate them.

6 clear sight spaces of Falcon,

I think we're going with "clear spaces" in uses like this, so the "sight" could be crossed out.

I seem to recall that in initial 2.0 discussions there was some talk of doing Aerial Advantage differently (maybe a ceiling on how many levels or something?) but I don't remember the specifics. Does that ring a bell to anyone?

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Breath

Edit made to clear sight. Tend to agree with Arch's reasoning on the Crossover symbol and will update that as well.

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Breath

I'd personally bin all the "while he can use Flying" stuff. It's pretty rare for us to be negating one ability off a card. I think SW is also on board with that approach, but he's more concerned that that language is ambiguous. (And thematically, you can for sure handwave the first power as working off his drone anyway, even if he can't personally fly!)

I think Nobody has also been an advocate for making Aerial Advantage work more like Transformers Spidey and just having it add a certain number of levels to a figure's elevation. Something like:

AERIAL ADVANTAGE (10?)
When determining height advantage between Falcon and a non-flying figure, add 10 levels to Falcon's elevation.

(or whatever language)

I think the big advantage of that is that it makes the effect way more reusable by not treating having height as a binary on/off. The 1.0 version of the power runs into issues because something trying to do a lesser version of the effect (like Dhalsim) has to explicitly call it out in order for those abilities to work smoothly together.

Whereas if you want a hierarchy with the '+X levels' approach, you can just have a +2 ability and a +10 ability and a +100 ability and it all works together.

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Breath

I'm into that. Fwiw I always thought of things occupying Sky Terrain as being at around 100 elevation. I though that was specified in the rules somewhere at some point, but not sure if that actually happened or was just our thematic basis.

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Breath

Thanks for remembering what the discussion was Ronin. I do recall that idea and agree with that approach. Having different units with different +#'s of height will be a good improvement. Just need to come to a consensus on what that number should be for Falcon. I believe 10 levels is right around what a single story building is for height. So I might go higher than 10 for MCU Falcon, that jet pack he has if pretty sweet. But I also don't want to get too crazy for a number. There is a Jet in the pipeline that will also be getting AA and it would be nice to have a layer higher than Falcon.

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Breath

Each bookshelf in the stackable bookshelf Skyscraper is 16 levels tall.

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Breath

50 levels is the height of a Super Leap (Hulk, etc.), so I could see around there. I wouldn't go any higher for him, probably.

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Breath

With the original LD signing off on Loyalty as the new personality and no other suggestions, I'm going to go with that. I also updated AA to AA 50, using Ronin's language. With that, I propose Falcon for ART.

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Vote 4 Art!

Do we want to ditch the "While Falcon can Fly" bit in the first power? I guess ultimately, dropping that probably makes the power a bit more generic.

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Vote 4 Art!

Yeah, sorry I didn't clarify I was okay with dropping the 'while Falcon can fly' language. I thought it was already cut from AA and didn't notice it was in the first power. I'll cut it now if no one who has already voted has any objections.

Also, @Arch-vile
I would like to get original LD's to sign off on 2.0 conversions when able, so please vote as well as anyone else who can see this. Only tagged the heroes and Japes (as a Starter Deck group member) but all can join in this step.

*edit* Actually I see I forget Eric and included LP.

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Vote 4 Art!

The only question is whether that makes the ability text to generic for the ability title, but I *think* the ability title is fairly reusable and his having to be unengaged helps sell the theme of his being able to fly around and look, IMO.

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Vote 4 Art!

Yeah, keeping the unengaged for sure. As others have said, the MCU take could just be looking through the drone footage.

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Vote 4 Art!

Group effort, I just happen to be driving at the moment.

Re: Falcon (Sam Wilson) (MCU) - Vote 4 Art!

I see in the rule book that the Cross Over symbol is included in the list of symbols that are found in the keyword bar (currently bottom of page 23). So I'll move it down from the Identity line. Do we prefer the image or just the word? Does it qualify as having a power, thus should be the symbol, as it 'breaks the rules' for drafting?

Yeah, it's an ability, IMO, since it breaks the rules, so it should stay as a symbol.
