WA North 2024 NHSD Tournament

Dates/Times: Saturday, October 26, 2024. Games start at 12PM. Discussions and army talk start at 11AM. Please bring a snack to share. We will play until I get tuckered out - probably around 6pm. Dinner will be provided. A duplicate event will occur in the south of Washington state on Sunday, November 10th, in Battle Ground, WA. This event will be posted soon. Feel free to attend both events.

Location: Nomad's abode in Everett/Mill Creek (about 25 minutes north of Seattle, 200 miles north of Portland). PM me for address if needed.

Format: Rolling Rumble and semi-competitive. No time limit per battle. When you are finished with a game, find someone else with a record similar to yours and engage. There will be 8 maps. Maximum of 16 people. There will be a number of newer players - please be patient and be helpful. We will keep track of wins/loses - the player with the highest win percentage with a minimum of 4 games will be the champion.

Prizes: None. This one is just for fun.

Armies:
  1. Point limit: 500. We are using Delta points. Please go to heroscape.org to help build your army using Delta points: https://heroscape.org/tournament/?Tournament=398 . I will also have a number of pre-built armies on hand if you want to grab and play. You are not locked into one army.
  2. Starting Spaces: 24 Hexes. Airborne Elite and Rechets count toward the limit.
  3. Classic, C3V, SoV, and officially released AoA units are allowed. No NWHC, Marvel, or other customs are allowed.
If you want to reserve figures from my collection for your army, let me know. I have multiples of everything. I will also have pre-built armies for those who want to grab and play, see below.

Good deal. Just a reminder since you have been here before. Everett is about a 3.5 hour drive north from Portland. Love to have you if you can make it.

Oh Everrett is the far away one. We'll see how many people are interested. Not sure I wanna make the trip if I'm the only one coming up.

I'm new to the group, and still learning heroscape again, but I'd love a chance to play if anyone is allowed!

We are up to 13 possible players, and we still haven't heard from a number of the old-timers.

Pre-built armies have been added to the OP. This is the first time I have run a game day using Delta points. I had fun building armies with seldom used and some of the new figures. Anyways - there will be 27 pre-built armies. Grab and play. We have multiples of everything released. Build your own army and feel free to borrow figures for the day.

Remember to go to the link for the army builder in the OP to help building armies using Delta points.

We had a great time rolling dice and playing various armies on Saturday, 10/26. I ran the Templars x3, Dupuis, Morgan Rifleman, and Ulfred for the first 4 games. I lost my fourth game to the eventual champion, and then played some Granites and Honor Guard the last couple of games.

Anyways, congrats to Riley for taking the crown. He ran Marro Hive, Stingers x2, and Drones x4 to finish 4-0. This was only his second event he has participated in. He had a hot 20-sider with the rebirths, Stringer Drains, and taking turns with multiple squads of Drones. Only one opponent was able to take down the Hive (me), but he still had 11 figures left on the board when all was done. What a thrashing. Riley and Joseph met in the Championship battle and both were undefeated. A few of us kept on playing well into the night.

Final Standings
1. Riley 4-0
2. Joseph 4-2
3. Nomad 4-2
4. Huskies16 3-2
5. obfuscatedhippo 2-2
6. GingaNinja 2-2
7. K1ngGl1zzy 2-3
8. Christian 2-3
9. DandySolace 1-4
10. Francis 0-1
11. Cooper 0-3
