Card storage?

What does everyone use to store their cards? Cool shape. Hard to store and keep safe.

Ideas?

Here is what I use:

I have them all in cd protector sleeves and then I put them all in a little CD booklet thing with the guts ripped out.

I was using a ziploc baggie until I got a flag bearer. Now I use that box for my cards.

I use what used to be a small binder for an agenda.

I took out the binder-bit, and it zipps up. It also houses Chompy when he travels.

I use a sandwitch bag. I haven't had any of my cards damaged besides my friends tears. (Sometimes he'll cry after I get a lot of good rolls and he gets a lot of bad) Yes I know he's a baby that will probobly never learn to grow up.

I use an old 5 1/4" floppy box like Codeman. You should be able to go to your local flea market/thrift shop and pick up one cheap!

doesn't look like it holds that many cards. My stack seems to be double the size of that whole container. Plastic casing and all. I'd need about 7 or 8 of those. When you have triples of every common. It builds up fast.

I have some CD binder pages I get at Wallyworld. They have 4 slots per side/8 per page. They work pretty good. I can put my duplicates in the same slot. My only complaints are that the slots open to the side away from the binder rings, so they could fall out easily if not careful, and the pages are a little longer than the binder, so they stick out of the closed binder.

I had an idea when I saw Codeman's laminated cards. Laminate them and keep the excess around them and hole punch the excess so they fit in a binder. The floppy case is a nice way to go as well.

I only keep one set of common cards out. The spares all go in one of my master set boxes along with the extra master set figures and parts.

Nwojedi if you are refering to the 5 1/4 floppy box.... I have one for each general and I have one of everycard to date.... they all fit and I still have plenty of room for expansion. The black box in the photo is for Utgar ( which has the most cards ). The boxes are also color coded for each general.

Codeman, I love the 5 1/4 floppy box idea! So retro!

Now if I can only figure out how to carry all my figs around in the gutted casing of an old TRS-80 Model III...

My VIC-20 case can hold more cards than your Trash 80! <laughing>

I use a big photo album, the kind with the peel-back pages. It has worked fabulously so far.

Wow!.... I would have expected you to have a nice wooden case/box ( maybe hex shaped?) for your cards. You should give it a try if you haven't already it would have to be more fabulous than the photo alblum.

I will be watching... may you will endup expanding your product offerings :D .

Pshaw! My TI-99/4A case holds more than either of those, plus I can cram all of my dice, markers, and counters into my gutted speech synthesizer add-on. Attach the synthesizer case to the TI for ease of carrying while travelling, and then detach it to use as a dice roller at the table complete with a little hinged flap to open and have the dice roll out after shaking. As an extra bonus it's even got a spiffy brushed steel finish so I can be travelling in style with my heroscape dorkiness. Beat that mofos!!!

kenjib: I bow to your supreme early nerdiness!
