The figures used for this unit are Good Luck Ants from the Safari Ltd.​



Although you can buy these from a online store, we went out and purchased a couple of buckets so we can get them to Heroscapers at a low special price.


$1.85 per squad plus $2 shipping and handling

(Only 48 squads available at this special price)

I would say 4-5 squads, IMO. I don't remember their exact cost as a PAM, though I did base my numbers off of the Red Ants of Anstrom.

I'll ask the fine print questions: Are these based or unbased? And is the $2 S/H flat per squad?

Yup, it's unlikely you'll want 6 squads but you'll probably want more than 3.

$2.00 s/h charge is flat per order...not per squad. ;)

I don't have the bases, I'm just selling the ants. Its up to you guys to glue them to a base.

The french forum finally bought a full bucket for its members, so we shouldn't bother you with asking to send to France ;-)

No card. This is a pre-sale as the Xualticua Ants are not yet ready for release.

You can always wait until a card is revealed; but I'm trying to stay ahead of the game cause the ants are now harder to find than this time last year when we were designing the squad.

Well, some members want to paint them to make proxies for the SoV's red ants of Aunstrom (even if they are not released yet, we know), so some wanted around 8 to 10 squads of them, to have 5 squad of the C3V's version and 5 squad of the SoV's one ^_^ So the 48 squad all found owners within an afternoon 8), and sadly some people saw the thread too late... yes, 48 was not enough, but 96 would be a bit too much XD

So I have good news and bad news...

Good news is that with the proceeds of the Ant Squad sale, we have purchased another bucket of ants.

Bad News is that the purchase price was higher than the first two buckets the C3V purchased. So we have to raise ant squad prices by 15 cents per squad. This is the minimum we can sell the new ants and break even.

So the new deal is:

$1.85 per squad plus $2 shipping and handling

(Only 48 squads available at this special price)

There are kind of a rubber, so I wouldn't recommend painting them... Ive tried it, bought these in the past for another project I was working on.

Safari's Good Luck ants, They also have a glow in the dark version.

The size is perfect, but any gluing tips (for the raised wording on the belly)?

Woohoo . . . I got ants in my p... p... p... Postal Mailbox today. Ha ha, I'll bet you thought I was going to say pantaloons. But can you guess what I've got in my pocketses? Thanks again Z.B. Great job guys. How soon will we see the card for this unit?

Anyway this sale could be redone in some way when the ants are released? I generally dislike picking figures up until release, and these guys are nigh impossible to get in the U.K, if I remember correctly - I still haven't been able to pick up any of C3G's Killer Bees.
