C3G Synergy Archive

Two quick things here:

1. I'm playing around with tweaking the formatting of the OP/SP here to put all of the information in the OP and make it a little easier to find.

So far I've only updated the species spoiler in the OP, so you can take a look at it there and see what you think. The list is now formatted so that each entry looks like this:


Previously, the first link would have been in the OP and the second one would have been in the SP.

2. I'm thinking about collecting posts for more soft synergies - a post for special powers that interact with water, a post for special powers that boost initiative, a post for special powers that trigger on winning initiative, etc. Is that something people would be interested in seeing collected here, and if so, are there any particular kinds of powers people would want to see tracked in this thread?

Open to thoughts/feedback on both points.
 
I've only really recently started using the synergy archives but I always forget which post is which (the figures vs. the powers), so putting them side by side is a great idea if you ask me. :D

The second also sounds useful but in an abstract way... I can't really think of any in particular.

Yes please. Having more information available isn’t going to hurt anybody. (except for you, who has to put it all together) So if it’s something you’re up for I think that would be really useful.

Just yesterday I was looking for a lit of powers that remove OMs and I couldn’t find one.
 
It all seems like a lot of work. It is one of those things that, if it's here I'll use it but if not I'll make do. If it's a task you want to take on then by all means go for it. If you are on the fence, maybe not.

Yeah, it probably would be, but I think it could be useful as a quick reference for certain mechanical things.

I think I'll try to get all the IBW updated for all the Books first, before embarking on soft synergy/mechanical documentation.

The new formatting is excellent, thank you very much. I only recently started using this thread since I've been back, but I use it every time I make armies, and I always get confused looking for the synergies versus which figures qualify for them.


Look in the third post of Welcome To C3G. There's a link to a thread by SirG called "Definitive Lists of Definitive Lists" that has the beginnings of some of the things you're talking about in #2.

Oh, I won't burn out or anything over it. I like doing the bookkeeping stuff. Keeps me well-acquainted with the cards and it gives me a way of contributing here that I can bite off in little chunks.

Thanks. I believe that's because he got reevaluated and switched from Unique to Event.

Fixed his points too.
 
Really small thing, but in the list of Conquerors the Thanoses (Thanosi?) have their point values switched.

Charlatan Synergies

Charlatan Synergy Benefits Received:
  • Charlatans may add to their Defense numbers with Songbird's (180) Sonic Construct Defense special power.
  • Charlatans may add to or subtract from their 20-sided die rolls with Citizen V's (Helmut Zemo) (190) Charlatan Coordination special power.
  • Charlatans may be activated by Citizen V's (Helmut Zemo) (190) Justice, Like Lightning special power.
  • Charlatans may have their Move numbers boosted by Jolt's (80) Thunderbolt Inspiration special power, as well as their 20-sided die rolls, if they are repentant.
Charlatan Synergy Benefits Offered:
  • Unique Charlatan Heroes may allow Songbird (180) to take a turn with her Thunderbolt Loyalty special power.
  • Charlatans may allow Jolt (80) to gain the class of Charlatan with her Taken In special power.

Repentant Synergies

Repentant Synergy Benefits Received:
  • Unique Repentant Heroes may have their class replaced with Crime Fighter by Songbird's (180) Thunderbolt Redemption special power, replacing their class-based synergies with these Crime Fighter Synergies.
  • Unique Repentant Heroes that share a class with Jolt (80) may add to their 20-sided die rolls.
  • Figures with the Repentant Personality may have their class changed to Outlaw by Silver Sable's (200) The Outlaws special power, giving them these Outlaw Synergies.
