Nice. I was going to nudge you on this soon, so happy to see the follow through on the vote.

I guess the knockback should specify that you roll for 1 knockback damage rather than saying it receives knockback damage?

Since we think we may be adding more updates in the future, when going public I'd leave the FP as a link storage place for all current updates with the individual updates in later thread posts.

I concur

On 11/09/23, we passed a proposal to add a new term to the game...
Push: When an ability includes the term “push,” it means that the player using that ability must move the affected figure the exact number of spaces specified in the ability. When a figure is pushed, unless otherwise specified, it counts elevation normally, takes any swipes, enters and occupies each space it moves onto, and receives any relevant falling damage.
...and modify an existing term.
Knockback: When an ability includes the term “knockback,” it means that the player using that ability must push the affected figure directly away from the activated figure in a straight line. When determining a straight line, if the figures are adjacent, use the two spaces those figures occupy that establish their adjacency as the first two points in the line. If multiple straight lines can be determined, the activated figure chooses which to use. Knocked back figures do not take swipes. If a knocked back figure cannot move the full amount specified in the knockback ability, roll for knockback damage.
This was done because we realized there might be issues with moving a figure without defining what kind of movement it is (knockback, move action, etc.) A currently existing card, Donatello, will receive an update to reflect this!

Will updates to existing 2.0 cards be listed here as well, or is there a different thread people can subscribe to in order to keep up to date without having to sub to each individual unit's book?

Those typically go at the bottom of the OP of those threads.

I think they're asking if it'd make sense to have one place to collect them all as well.

Thanks!

Adding this to the OP:

Errata for page 16 of the Rulebook:

Former:
Figures may also enter DOs with occupancy numbers during gameplay.
A figure may enter a DO with an occupancy number by ending its
movement on a space adjacent to that DO if:
• That figure’s size and height is smaller than that of the DO. (The different sizes are ordered from smallest to largest: tiny, small, medium,
large, and huge.)

New:

movement on a space adjacent to that DO if:

Two expansions of existing rules:

1. To clarify what happens with statless cards and not give them weird end arounds with things like VDOs:

A figure without an Attack number cannot make attack actions and skips any attack phases. A figure without a Move number cannot make move actions and skips any move phases.

2. To clarify what happens when an ability copying figure copies an ability from a flip card that would require it to flip:

If an ability would cause a card to flip but that card is not a flip card, all of that card’s figures are defeated.

Realized this never got posted in the public! A bit of a complex ruling on a minor point.
Some abilities in C3G happen before, after, or even during a specific event. For example, an ability might happen before initiative, during an attack phase, or after an activation.

In addition, some abilities in C3G stop specific events from happening or happen instead of a specific event. For example, an ability might stop an activation from happening or allow you to do something instead of an attack action.

When an ability stops a specific event from happening, all abilities that happen "around" that event (before, after, during, etc.) and haven't triggered yet can no longer trigger. However, abilities that have already triggered cannot be retroactively undone.

For example, let's take a look at 2 cards: Piccolo and Ninjak. Piccolo's Charging Up ability happens at 2 different points - half of the ability happens before his activation and half happens after his activation. Ninjak can replace an ally's ordered activation with his own.

So let's imagine that at the start of their turn, a player reveals their Order Marker on Piccolo. Since Piccolo will make an ordered activation, both halves of Charging Up would normally trigger. The "before activating" part of Charging Up happens, and the player places a Ki Marker on Piccolo's card. But then, the player uses Tactical Pressure to switch Piccolo's ordered activation for an activation with Ninjak. Now, since Piccolo is no longer making an activation, abilities that trigger "around" his activation no longer trigger. So the "after activating" part of Charging Up now no longer happens. However, the "before activating" aspect has already happened and cannot be retroactively undone.

We're also introducing a new term, "own." Several other games use this term and we've decided to introduce it to help streamline some language!
Own: a card or figure a given player "owns" is one that they brought into the game. Ownership is independent of what team a card or figure is currently on. For example, if an opponent's Evil-Lyn takes control of your Batman, Batman is still owned by you.

Convenient for games when you literally bring your own figures to play :p
