EVIL ALLIES
During setup, you may add up to 3 allied Unique Heroes to the Masters of Evil faction. During Baron Zemo's ordered activation, instead of either his move or attack phase, he may activate a Masters of Evil ally that has not been activated by this ability this round.

SEEKING VENGEANCE
When attacking, Baron Zemo and Masters of Evil allies may reroll 1 blank.

ADHESIVE X TRAP
When a figure within 5 clear spaces of Baron Zemo is activated, you may reveal Order Marker X on this card. If you do, that figure cannot move, attack, or use any ability this turn.

FACTION = MASTERS OF EVIL

SYMBOLS = MENTAL SHIELD
WORLDS COLLIDE: Baron Zemo is consumed with a violent, insane hatred for Captain America. So when Captain America reappeared, leading the superhero team the Avengers, Zemo retaliated with his own team of superhumans called the Masters of Evil.

Tried something different here with the thread title and name, putting the first name in () between Baron & Zemo instead of putting it after Zemo, then stating Zemo a second time. I can change it up if others are not feeling it.

I also ended up giving him the Science keyword, since he was a 'brilliant' Nazi scientist and created the Adhesive X formula he used in his traps.

Dropped the markers and just recruited directly into the Master of Evil faction to mirror what we did with Capt. America. This all reminds me, did we come to a conclusion on whether we should be replacing the faction tag a card already has or adding to it so they have two faction tags? I don't recall if any stacking concerns were an issue with someone being in two different factions at the same time. This would also directly impact his bonus vs. figures in the Avengers faction if when an Avengers card was recruited into a different group they lost the Avengers tag.

Recapping here that we spun out the bonus vs. Avengers into it's own ability and reduced it's impact from +1A to a re-roll blanks once. It could potentially come into play a little more often with figures having the Avengers Faction Tag even when say running with the GotG. So in the end I think it's mostly a wash and plan on leaving his points as is without doing more testing.

For the last line of Evil Allies, I'd just say "activate a Masters of Evil ally." I don't think we need to address it as a faction each time. Same thing in the second ability.

Thread naming aesthetic you used makes sense to me. :up:

For faction recruitment, I'd prefer it be additive instead of a replacement unless anyone thinks there are competitive concerns. I think that's the default way to read the text as well.

The Avengers attack bonus always felt a bit tacked on, IMO, and he always felt worth his points without it, so I like reducing its power level a bit to make him less swingy based on match ups.

Updated. Double check me but it does seem to read cleaner and is shorter now.

I think this has sat long enough without any new comments, so I propose Zemo for Art.

YK - yea
Nobody - yea
Bats - yea
Eric - yea
Japes - yea

Do we need any final editing touch ups before we send it to Ark. Let's try to limit text updates after we stick it in the Art folder.
@Ronin any suggestions here?

I'd drop the "immediately" from Adhesive X Trap. I've been axing "immediately" most places, I don't think it does much for us.

This ability's got a stronger case for it than most so if people thinks it helps clarity (ie that you can't drop an Adhesive X mid activation), then I'm fine leaving it.

I'd feel more comfortable leaving 'immediately' in here as it's a turn interruption effect and if someone has an 'immediate' ability effect when activating a figure it would by default win. Currently the two 'immediate' abilities would face a d20 roll off on timing.

I kind of like where the Avengers Vendetta ended up. Less powerful but still kind of mirrors Avengers Cap stat boosts. While also giving him a similar vibe to Red Skull II with the re-rolls alluding to their shared background. If I'm the only one, then I'd like to advocate cutting 10 points along with the ability. That would give me more room to work with when figuring out Executioner II or allowing Wonder Man to drop in as is at 350 with Zemo recruiting him.

The way 1.0 used "immediately" is kind of a bugbear for me, mainly because it becomes either meaningless or something cards can't actually use very quickly.

Don't have a great alternate suggestion off the dome but I'm leery of keeping it around for that reason. I'll think on it.

I'd rather not drop his points, he's always felt pretty handily worth his cost when not fighting the Avengers to me. The attack boost was just gravy when it happened to come up.

Fair enough on keeping the points at 170. I'm going to leave the gravy then for flavor. Still looking for votes here.

Re: Baron (Heinrich) Zemo (MoE) - Vote for Art!

I'm fine if we want to make our "immediately" aesthetic a "turn interruption" thing. Like use it just when you're zipping into someone else's turn and blowing it up. I can see the logic there.

Definitely will echo Ronin that he's always felt worth his points in non-Avengers match ups, so I wouldn't want to see a points change.

Wording looks good. Meant to get to this yesterday but it got lost in the shuffle. Yea

Two sentences here, thoughts?

WORLDS COLLIDE: Baron Zemo is consumed with a violent, insane hatred for Captain America. So when Captain America re-appeared, joined by the superhuman team the Avengers, he created his own team of super-villains called the Masters Of Evil.

I'd call them a superhero team rather than superhuman. I might say "So when Captain America reappeared, leading the superhero team the Avengers, Zemo retaliated with his own team of superhumans called the Masters of Evil."
