12 Questions to Help Shape Our Future

I picked those top 5 because I like the way they play. They are fun, and generally, you see pretty consistent results from them that are positive. I've had many games where they were the MVP of that respective game, or made the difference. They are also worth drafting in many armies.

I strive for all my designs to be that way and take lots of inspiration from that.
 
I've only been playing with C3G for a couple of months, so take my answers with that in mind.

Thor - I'm surprised that their is only one version of him.

Firestar - only played 4 or 5 games with her but has always pulled down double her points.

More often, Monthly sounds good to me

It seems like there are so many different ideas bouncing around that some designs get pushed for a few days, then forgotten about, then another one for a few days. As someone new, it seems overwhelming at times to keep track of a new design.

This kind of feedback is really useful to the project, so thank you for your insight. Can I ask if you mean design ideas being posted in the Public Design Workshop, or do you mean full-on design threads like Squirrel Girl and the dinos?
 
@Scapemage I think it's more the nature of the beast. I think if you look at public design thread or personal threads the characters that get worked on bounce around so much for one character to another. At the same time I don't see another way to do it.
 
I think that if you want to really focus on one design, the best way is to split it out into a thread of its own.

Are Allies allowed to have Workshop threads?
 
I know when I was an Ally I was always trying not to step on anyone's toes or disrupt the current discussion, and I'd end up sitting on a lot of write-ups and not posting them. That's why I had such a huge backlog when I became a Sidekick. I wouldn't have any problem with Allies getting their own Workshop threads, to alleviate that kind of thing.
 
Could I make the suggestion that instead of an ally having their own thread (which I’m not against) that workshops can be created according to “themes?” Similar to Tornado’s Dreddverse workshop or the old Marvel Cosmic thread.

    I bet there's still plenty of design space for spells, but I don't know what would be particularly iconic.

    Smaller monthly releases.

    Nope, other than to say that there are still a good number of units I haven't used, so my priorities for cards worth changing might not be the most critical for the project as a whole.
 
I don't think I have a problem with Allies having a Workshop thread. They've worked hard to get to that point so if that is something the see as a value we should probably discuss and vote on it in the sanctum.

This Changes on a regular basis but I feel these 5 added something new to the game that really has propelled C3G to where it is today.

Ugh only 2... Well I know some are in the pipeline so I'll avoid those but I would like to see.
Gladiator (Marvel) and Sauron

Lex Luthor (A Legion of Doom Version), and Daredevil

Commander Rogers

Ventriloquist but also Gambit (which I feel could then leave more room for a higher point Gambit II)

General Zod he needs to be buffed

That's a tough one, right now I would say the Justice Society of America

Squadron Supreme/Sinister

All of them....Ok fine Alpha Flight

I'll always take more equipment glyphs for the Bat Family

That's a tough question, I feel like their should still be the bigger quarterly releases however to continue momentum and interest especially outside the sanctum I feel a release every month of 1-2 cards would be great. Which I know is the goal with the Public LD's and the LD's you can purchase but sometimes those take longer then expected. I would say just reducing the size of the quarterly releases, for instance if you normally release 8-12 cards every quarter, reduce that to 4-8 cards and have the other cards released one at a time once a month as a tease to the bigger quarterly release.


Of course may favorite time was the 12 days of Christmas release....

Great insight everyone! Thanks for chiming in All Your Pie and Xael Raymand! I wouldn't mind Allies having their own threads, so that would sort of kill the Public Design Workshop, so it's a give an take. We do a lot of faction workshop threads like what MrNobody is suggesting in-sanctum, so that could be the best solution.
 
I'd rather see more specific themed workshop threads than every ally have their own design thread. I fear that would end the public design workshop thread and that has been going on for so long that it would be a shame to watch it die.
 
I would happily cash in a few reward points to get a committed design thread for Doctor Who or something like that.

That's a good point and why I thought we needed to discuss it as I was sure we needed to fully thank it through.
 
I'd be fine with more themed workshops instead of Ally Workshops. Still serves the purpose of making it easier for more conversations to happen in parallel.

I was actually thinking the other day that it might be a good idea to roll some of the faction threads from the Sanctum into the public, since we're doing a lot of workshopping out here now anyway.

Speaking as an Ally, I don't personally feel that I need my own thread. I think the public one is fine for me and the addition of your threads being made public allows me to provide greater input and feedback and keeps me more inclined to visit the site on a regular basis which for me is great.

I would imagine that the allies who borderline need their own thread will eventually become sidekicks anyway and will then be eligible to have their own threads?

Lets not rush that one though. May need some scrubbing. Some of them are pretty detailed and would give up a lot of the plans.

Yeah, for sure. There are some I wouldn't mind throwing out in the public, though.
