Re: Shredder - Design
Hmm, so what's the big picture thinking here? Do we have any idea what the Foot are going to look like or how we're going to make builds with him, the Foot, and BeBop and Rocksteady that are cohesive or add up to desirable point totals?
Without knowing the specific plans, my first inclinations are: 1. Make Shredder 250 and the Foot Clan 150. Then BeBop, Rocksteady, Shredder, and Foot Clan = 1000, they equal 750 without Shredder, and they equal 850 without the Foot. Turtles are 700 right now, or 750 with April. If we can get Splinter at 250 and Casey at 150, that gives Turtles builds at 750, 850, and 1000 as well. 2. Make Antagonizing Presence better with his own guys somehow? Right now it synergizes him with Wise figures the best. I know that's meant to give Splinter a counter, but right now it makes Splinter a better partner to him than BeBop or Rocksteady. I'm cool leaving in the Wise bit, but wouldn't mind the attack boost only happening to his side or happening better with his side. Right now he either works best with Splinter as an ally or works better for the opponent than himself, IMO. 3. Light touch but I'd love to at least open Unleash the Foot to the whole faction, not just the squaddies. That way BeBop and Rocksteady can get use out of it and feel like a reasonable part of the team with Shredder, especially if the Foot do something to bind Splinter and them together more. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Shredder - Design
Yeah being able to move Bebop and Rocksteady here would be sweet.
And personally, I think it'd be fun to add a "this figure can't have its defense reduced" line onto the Too Dumb to Fall power on Bebop and Rocksteady, giving them soft synergy. |

Re: Shredder - Design
I feel pretty satisfied with this take on the Foot, and would be happy to go forward with it!
Definitely support Shredder at 250. ![]() Quote:

I dunno, I think building your army around negatives is just good synergy, personally. And it fits the theme of being too dumb to die. Maybe just me.

I'm into that idea, LP. It probably wouldn't come up that often, but could be a neat little bit when it does.

1) Lets Shredder choose B&R, yup. 2) Lets Shredder choose himself, which feels good for this kinda character, IMO. 3) And yes, lets him expand in playability a bit beyond his ~5 card faction. |

Re: Shredder - Design
I'm confused. Are we talking about the version of Unleash the Foot posted above? That one adds Ninja to the faction and then moves Ninja and rolls unblockables for Ninja ... Bebop and Rocksteady are Enforcers. Shredder is a Mastermind. Did you mean to write the ability differently?

Re: Shredder - Design
I like Nobody's idea of adding Ninja to the Foot Clan, but then I'd just have the power move Foot Clan figures rather than Ninja specifically. That way Beebop & Rocksteady can be moved like Bats suggested. 4 damage dice sounds pretty strong, averaging 2 auto-wounds per use is a really efficient attack. I'd at least make the trade his full attack phase so he can't trade an attack action he received for free some how.
I'd also be in favor of Bat's #2 point. How do others feel about changing the aura to re-rolls (skulls when attacking, shields when defending) instead of the stat boost? It would let the Foot Clan Ninja have a more respectable attack when not played with Shredder, while still getting a similar effect. Everyone around him would roll more skulls and less shields. Then to LP's idea, when Too Dumb To Fall triggers, it could prevent them from re-rolling dice when attacking/defensing for the rest of the round. |
