Holding the aura for Darkseid's Elite as a back pocket thing if he doesn't feel right in testing.

Upped defense by 1 and opened up the boost in Darkseid's Elite a bit. Hoping that helps him feel worth 240 rather than 220.

With Parademons rolling damage dice when people fly over them now, his re-roll once per turn might see an uptick in value. Superman flies over a Parademon screen, a shield is rolled, then re-rolled into a skull for a W.

Unit Summary: Close, fun game that felt just right. Darkseid was rolling hot on his attacks and Superman was rolling hot on Superman to the Rescue. There were enough auto wounds to finish Superman, though, and Desaad got in a key torture at the right moment to swing things. Letting him influence non-skulls on Darkseid (including during clean up) is very useful and makes him feel worth his points, IMO. The defensive boost helped as well, as he had to survive an attack from Superman in order to torture Supes fully.

Wonder Woman uses a marker. Initiative Apokolips. Darkseid moves up two squads of Parademons. Wonder Woman advances. Darkseid has Parademons advance again. Batman advances. Darkseid moves up behind his Parademon screen. Superman advances.
Wonder Woman uses a marker. Initiative Justice League. Batman attacks three Parademons with his batarangs and takes out one. Four Parademons surround Batman but roll terribly, even with a Desaad reroll, and can’t hit him. Darkseid defeats one of them and engages Batman but only rolls 2 skulls and is blocked. Superman punches Darkseid for 1 wound (Desaad tried to help by letting Darkseid reroll a defensive blank). Superman sheds a Justice Marker and Wonder Woman circles around the Parademons and punches Darkseid for a wound from height disadvantage. Batman gets in three d20 rolls and three attack rolls with his batarangs but can’t hit anything. Parademons get two wounds each on Wonder Woman and Batman. Two of those wounds are from rolling all skulls, one time with the help of a Desaad reroll. Darkseid defeats one of his Parademons to go and attacks down on Wonder Woman. He would defeat her but Superman comes to the rescue and takes a wound instead. The Sugar Cookie goes flying. Superman punches Darkseid for a wound. Desaad’s defensive reroll doesn’t help. Darkseid has Desaad advance and puts a wound on him so he can go. Darkseid punches Wonder Woman for what would be three wounds, but Superman comes to the rescue again and takes a wound. Darkseid uses Omega Effect and gets 3 skulls (one thanks to a Desaad reroll – need to specify he can use his reroll during clean up) and Darkseid inflicts a wound on Batman, a wound on Superman, and brings back a Parademon.
Wonder Woman uses her last marker. Initiative Justice League after Batman burns a marker to force a reroll. Superman punches Darkseid for three wounds. Desaad’s reroll is no help. Superman uses a Justice Marker. Batman rolls terribly on d20s but great on attacks and takes out one Parademon and fails to hit another and Darkseid. Wonder Woman takes a swipe from a Parademon but circles Darkseid, picks up the Sugar Cookie, and puts one wound on Darkseid (his 7th). Darkseid has Desaad engage Superman and, after a reroll, Desaad forces the “X” off of Superman, then Superman blocks his attack. Darkseid puts a wound on Desaad and wound inflict two wounds on Wonder Woman, but Superman’s hot streak continues and he comes to the rescue again and takes one wound. Superman punches Desaad for two wounds (would’ve been three if not for a reroll). Darkseid has Desaad torture Superman, forcing OM3 off of Supes so he doesn’t take two wounds. Darkseid puts a wound on Desaad and would knock the Sugar Cookie from Wonder Woman but Superman rescues her, taking is 5th wound instead. Superman lost OM3 so Darkseid goes again, activating Parademons. Wonder Woman’s lasso (with the help of Batman) brings a Parademon next to her instead of him. Parademons go three times, inflicting auto wounds on both Wonder Woman and Superman (who is up to 6 wounds now). Desaad’s reroll doesn’t help. All of the attacks are blocked. Darkseid defeats a Parademon and finishes Wonder Woman. Superman, at one life, nobly sacrifices himself, rescuing her, figuring Omega Effect would take him out anyway. Omega Effect gets 2 skulls (one from a reroll) and finishes Batman and puts a 5th wound on Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman gets 2 Justice Markers as her allies fall.
Wonder Woman uses a marker. Initiative Darkseid. Parademons can’t defeat Wonder Woman. Desaad can’t get an auto wound in with a reroll. Darkseid defeats a Parademon and rolls a murderous 5 skulls and finishes Wonder Woman for the win.

Unit Summary: Probably a missed opportunity for Desaad to get more auto wounds in here when enemies didn’t have Order Markers on them, but I was trying to use him primarily for rerolls and let the others lead. Poor Omega Effect and Darkseid Is rolls as well as the Justice League having all the tools and offense needed to hit Darkseid fast made the difference here.
Game Summary

Initiative Apokolips. Darkseid has Desaad take to the road. Flash pushes Green Arrow to the road, then follows, then defeats an Evergreen near their start zone. Canary Green Jet Boosts out of the start zone. Darkseid has Parademons fly forward. They can’t hit a Tree of Death, even with Desaad help. Darkseid defeats one of them and takes out an Evergreen Tree. Flash moves up Green Arrow, wounds a Tree of Death, and then is followed by Green Lantern, who finishes that Tree of Death. Darkseid has Parademons advance again. They put one wound on a Tree of Death thanks to a reroll. He defeats a Parademon and blasts Canary for a wound from height. Flash zips next to Darkseid, pushes him off height, and collapses a tree on him for a wound. Canary goes Into the Fray, smacks Darkseid from height for a wound. Flash fails to hit Darkseid and Green Arrow comes to the rescue but fails to hit Darkseid or go again. Omega Effect whiffs, even with one reroll.
Initiative Justice League. Flash pushes Green Lantern forward. Canary goes Into the Fray and whiff an attack from height on Darkseid. Green Lantern nails Darkseid for three wounds (Desaad can’t help as it’s 1 shield and 6 skulls for Darkseid’s defense). Green Arrow comes to the rescue again and has his four skull attack blocked and fails to go again. Darkseid has Parademons go. All three that can attack fully whiff their attacks. Darkseid moves up next to Black Canary and puts two wounds on her thanks to a Desaad reroll. Canary misses her cry. Flash pushes Green Lantern next to Darkseid and his Lantern’s Light affects Darkseid. Canary goes Into the Fray and fails to hit Darkseid. Green Lantern whiffs his attack. Green Arrow uses his third marker to attack Darkseid and gets him down to 1 (Desaad’s reroll is no help). Green Arrow cannot hit his d20 roll. Darkseid has Parademons go. Green Lantern’s light works against him as two Parademons hit him with auto wounds (one on a Desaad reroll). He blocks both attacks. A third Parademon finishes a whiffing Black Canary. But she hits her cry on one of two Parademons and on Darkseid. She steals OM3 from Darkseid. He rolls a 9 on Darkseid Is and is defeated (ouch). Flash pushes a Parademon out of Green Lantern’s way. Green Lantern takes height and blasts Desaad for four wounds. Green Arrow uses his last marker and hits Desaad for one more despite a reroll.
Initiative Justice League, thanks to a Flash Justice Marker burn. Flash pushes Desaad down a level. Green Latnern blasts Desaad to finish it. Desaad had OM1. Green Lantern engages the last two Parademons. Between his light, the tree of death, and two auto wounds for his special attack, they don’t even bother rolling defense.

Unit Summary: This felt like anyone’s game. Desaad had four chances to inflict two auto wounds on a figure without Order Markers and couldn’t hit a single roll. Given that the margin was only 6 life, that could’ve made a big difference. If Darkseid had hit one more Darkseid Is roll, this easily could’ve swung the other way as well. Felt fair and balanced with both sides in it.
Game Summary

Initiative Apokolips. Darkseid has Desaad advance. Reed, Sue, and Ben advance. Darkseid has Parademons advance, then defeats one to advance himself. The whole Fan Four advances. Desaad advances. Torch advances and can’t hit Desaad from height. Thing and Reed advance. Omega Effect drops the defeated Parademon.
Initiative Apokolips. A Parademon gets all skulls on Thing for an auto wound but Rock Wall Defense defeats that Parademon. Darkseid defeats another Parademon to take a turn and his ranged attack on Human Torch is blocked. Human Torch takes two swipes but Flames On two Parademons, then fails to hit Desaad with a ranged attack. Mister Fantastic can’t hit Darkseid from range and height disadvantage. Desaad fails two attempts to torture Human Torch. Darkseid wounds him and puts two quick wounds on Invisible Woman. Invisible Woman flies away and shoots Desaad for a wound. Thing takes height on Darkseid and can’t hit thanks to a Desaad reroll. Mister Fantastic locks down Desaad and hits him for a wound. Desaad fails two more Torture attempts. He avoids a swipe from Thing and engages Invisible Woman and defeats her. One swipe on Human Torch becomes two from a Desaad reroll. Flame On takes out Desaadn and wounds Darkseid twice. Torch goes Nova but rolls poorly and can’t hit Darkseid. Thing goes full Clobberin Time from height, punching Darkseid for three wounds, then getting his 5 skull follow up blocked. Mister Fantastic punches Darkseid for a sixth wound. Omega Effect finishes Human Torch and puts a wound on Thing.
Initiative Darkseid. He advances his last two Parademons, defeating one so he can go. He runs into Rock Wall Defense, taking his seventh wound. Thing would finish Darkseid, but Darkseid Is and Thing takes a wound instead. Darkseid hits Mister Fantastic for two wounds. Thing Clobbers Darkseid and Darkseid Is Not. Darkseid had OM3. Mister Fantastic advances.
Initiative Fantastic Four. It takes a couple of turns, but Reed and Ben finish off the last Parademon with no trouble.

UNIT SUMMARY: He’s feeling pretty good as is. There are reasons to be aggressive with him and reasons to hold him back. The synergy with Omega Effect is especially nice, but you have to hit the rerolls just like you have to hit rolls.
