The Book of Invisible Man
The Book of Invisible Man C3G AMERICA'S BEST COMICS PUBLIC EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION 35 INTO THE DARK ![]() Comic PDF ![]() Mini PDF The figure used for this unit is a repainted and modified Heroclix figure from the Batman set. Its model number and name are #026 / Roy Raymond, Jr.. How to Mod and Repaint this figure _________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - The gentleman known as Hawley Griffin was seen far and wide as a chemist of unusual ability. Or at least, he was until one of his more bizarre experiments arranged matters so that he could no longer be seen at all. Since his ill-advised foray into permanent evanescence, he has begun to demonstrate a deplorable self-aggrandizing character. He cared for naught but his own gratification and safety. Griffin now lacks any apparent conscience, and engages in perversion and homicidal aggression whenever it is convenient. As with most such wretched sports, Griffin seeks positions of influence for the freedom to indulge in his depraved whims rather than simple lust for power. He is, simply, quite mad. Even his august membership in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was leveraged by means of various enticements and the knowledge that he, too, could fall victim to the schemes of the scoundrels that plague Her Majesty’s Empire. As should only have been expected of such a man, he deserted the League at the first opportunity when he saw a better chance to achieve his wretched ends with the Martian invaders. “The only empire I'm interested in is my own: the empire of Invisible Man the First.” - summarized from writeups.org _________________________________________________________________ -Rulings and Clarifications-

Re: The Book of Invisible Man - Design
NAME = INVISIBLE MAN
SECRET IDENTITY = HAWLEY GRIFFIN SPECIES = MUTATE UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = TORMENTOR PERSONALITY = INSANE SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 4 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 3 POINTS = 95 INVISIBLE STEALTH At the start of the round, before rolling for initiative, if Invisible Man is on this card and not destroyed, you may place him on a space adjacent to a figure you control. Invisible Man can move through all figures, is never attacked when leaving an engagement, and cannot be targeted by opponents' non-adjacent figures for any attacks or special powers that require clear sight. INFILTRATION If you win initiative and Invisible Man is unengaged, you may place him adjacent to any enemy figure on the battlefield within 5 spaces of Invisible Man that does not have the Blind Warrior special power and may view one unrevealed Order Marker on that figure's card. If you view a numbered Order Marker, roll X unblockable attack dice against that figure where X equals the number you viewed. SELF-SERVING BETRAYAL If you lose initiative, choose an opponent. That opponent may choose to either: • place Invisible Man on this card; or • view the Order Markers on the cards of any figures adjacent to Invisible Man. The original design; looking back. Re: The Book of Invisible Man - Design
Pretty much all the Heroes said the third power is unneeded here.
I am also not convinced you need the blanks count as two wounds part of the middle power. |

Re: The Book of Invisible Man - Design
I lose initiative all the time so the third power does feel a bit stifling for the ungifted rollers among us
![]() Otherwise the theme of popping up next to others, spying on them, getting a cheap shot in... these are all really fun. |

Re: The Book of Invisible Man - Design
For me, the third power would be enough for me to never want to draft him.

Re: The Book of Invisible Man - Design
I'm going to agree with Fret and Tickle, I'd drop the third power. I'm sure there are better options if you think he's a 3 power figure.

Re: The Book of Invisible Man - Design
I could see re-using Sucker Punch from Spike, or some version of it.
SUCKER PUNCH Once per player turn, when an enemy figure adjacent to Spike is targeted for an attack by another figure you control, you may roll an unblockable attack die against that enemy figure. |

Re: The Book of Invisible Man - Design
To clarify, 2 Heroes expressed distaste for the power. (LV, if I inderstood him correctly, had a related but different concern.)

Re: The Book of Invisible Man - Design
Correct. I believe the workshopping was emphasizing initiative stuff as a factional tie. My concern was basically starting out with a figure needing that factional tie to not be unfun to use without like, trying to get him in like a Clock King build, or some nonsense Oracle Order Marker shuffle stuff.
