Re: The Book of Giganta (breathing)
NAME = Giganta
SECRET IDENTITY = Doris Zuel SPECIES = Metahuman UNIQUENESS = Unique Hero CLASS = Antagonist PERSONALITY = Brilliant SIZE/HEIGHT = Huge 11 (single-spaced) LIFE = 5 MOVE = 7 RANGE = 2 ATTACK = 5 DEFENSE = 5 POINTS = 235 GIGANTIC STOMP SPECIAL ATTACK Range 1. Attack 7. Choose a small or medium figure to attack. Giganta cannot use this special attack if she moved this turn. ANTAGONISTIC DETERRENT After an opponent's figure within 2 clear sight spaces of Giganta inflicts one or more wounds on another figure you control with an attack, the player controlling that figure must immediately roll the 20-sided die. Subtract 5 from the roll if the defending figure is an Antagonist. If they roll 10 or lower, the attacking figure receives a wound. GIANT DEFENSE When rolling defense dice against a normal attack from a figure that is not huge, if you roll at least one shield, the most wounds Giganta can take from this attack is one. . . . THE HARDER THEY FALL When Giganta is destroyed, before removing her from the battlefield, choose 4 spaces in a straight line from Giganta. Roll an unblockable attack die against each figure on the chosen spaces. Re: The Book of Giganta (breathing)
Giganta is a villain who can grow super big, and she smashes stuff. She's a mainstay on the villain teams like the Secret Society or Injustice League type stuff, though she started out as a Wonder Woman villain.
This design has some standard "huge dude" powers along with some Antagonist synergy to further bring the Injustice designs together. |

Re: The Book of Giganta (breathing)
I have a general aesthetic preference that the JL/IJL designs don't call out specific classes, so you can do the funky multi-class builds without feeling like you're being punished for it. This is definitely kinda a special case, since she's not a marker design, but I also think the Deterrent power could go generalist without affecting who you want to draft her with.
Excited to see another of the Giants Heroclix set get carded. I always think it's kinda neat when there's a single Clix set you can buy and know you're getting a bunch of C3G stuff in it. |

Re: The Book of Giganta (breathing)
Frankly, a little disappointed she's not a Simian.
![]() I like the main suite of powers; she's very much your basic "giant lady" set so I'm not surprised it took so long to check her off the list. On my end, I don't necessarily love Antagonist being a synergy point in this way - I've always interpreted it as a class for standalone villains rather than a faction in-and-of-itself. The sort of characters you'd sprinkle into Injustice builds as a wildcard, to fill out your Criminal or Rogue or what-have-you army, rather than create a team exclusively of antagonists. I think she'd be equally viable as an open-ended deterrent, if we wanted to go that route. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Giganta (breathing)
The last power kind of makes me wonder why no other huge figures have that kind of impact when they go down.

Re: The Book of Giganta (breathing)
I’m definitely trying to mirror the JL here by having a selection of Antagonists that work well together, much like the JL has Champions. The hubs work well enough with their various marker classes but Antagonist is very much the glue that ties everything together. But I see Nobody’s point that for this power, it’s probably not necessary to limit it by class. But I’d like to see dedicated Antagonist synergy down the line of not here. Arkham mentioned planning some Antagonist designs in addition to Cheetah which is currently in progress - it’s definitely the “Injustice class” going forward.
For the last power, I think it’s especially fitting for the huge villains to have an exaggerated fall to the ground where they hit people. It’s such a fun power on Stilt-Man. |

Re: The Book of Giganta (breathing)
One of thosw weird 'you don't really care about her, but you see her around enough to know she should be in the game' villains, so I'm glad to see her here to fill out the ranks - should be a fun throw-in for villain teams. No real preference on making her deterrent power faction specific or general, though I definitely like The Harder They Fall on her.
Just looked her up to see if her Justice League cartoon origin was comics accurate, and it is, so... really she ought to be a Simian rather than a Metahuman. It's been a consistent aesthetic that mutated animals retain their base species rather than getting one that regards their mutancy (Super-Apes, TMNT etc.) A bit different here since she doesn't look like a non-human great ape anymore, but, logically, she should still fit that bill (plus it's more fun synergistically). |
