Re: The Book of Ra's al Ghul (II) (Breathing)
NAME = RA'S AL GHUL
SPECIES = HUMAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = MASTERMIND PERSONALITY = DIABOLICAL SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 6 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 5 DEFENSE = 4 POINTS = 260 PLANNING AHEAD When rolling for initiative, you may add or subtract 1 from your roll for each Order Marker on this card. When Ra's al Ghul is destroyed, you may immediately remove any unrevealed Order Markers from this card and place them on any other card you control. LEAGUE OF ASSASSINS After revealing an Order Marker on this card, instead of taking a turn with Ra's al Ghul, you may take a turn with an Assassin Army Card you control. Once per game, before taking a turn with Ra's al Ghul, you may reveal the "X" Order Marker on this card to first take a turn with up to 3 Unique Assassin Heroes you control, and you may not take any additional turns with any figures you control other than Ra's al Ghul. SWORDPLAY If Ra's al Ghul attacks an adjacent figure with his normal attack and at least one skull is rolled, he may attack an adjacent figure again. He may continue attacking adjacent figures, rolling 1 fewer attack die for each subsequent attack, until you fail to roll a skull. Last edited by Arkham; September 17th, 2018 at 08:45 PM. |

Re: The Book of Ra's al Ghul (II) (Breathing)
So basically if you keep him healthy and avoid OM manipulation, he’ll be reliably giving 4-5 Assassin turns a round. Looks good.
The League of Assassins wording needs some slight tweaking so that it’s completely clear that the “if you do” is if you reveal the “X,” not if you do one of the two things in that previous sentence. But that should be an easy fix. I would give it a go but it’s tough to wordsmith while phone posting. Edit: wait, League of Assassins is before takng a turn with him, so that’s 7-8 turns a round, which easily eclipses Prof X and requires no proximity. Add in all the attacks he’ll get from Swordplay and I predict competitive concern for him at 230. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Ra's al Ghul (II) (Breathing)
I like League of Assassins - basic OM management most of the time, but late in the round you can unveil your master stroke and hit the enemy hard. Looks good.
As always, I'm a little concerned about pairing him with Joker, but you'll either have to take one of your actual turns with Joker or cede your triple activation to do that, so it should be good. I do wonder if an initiative boost is getting a little monotonous at this point, though - I wonder if we're in danger of overusing them. Perhaps something to allow you to adapt to changing circumstances; i.e., maybe the ability to swap the positions of Assassin Heroes now and again (once per game? Round?), something like that. I'm mostly just spitballing here - if you think the initiative boost is something the assassins will really appreciate, stick with it. |

Re: The Book of Ra's al Ghul (II) (Breathing)
Just so the wording is clear, I believe it's intended as:
After revealing a numbered order marker, you can take a turn with 1 assassin and then Ra's. So you're guaranteed 2 turns per Order Marker. If you reveal the X, you instead get to take a turn with the number on that revealed Order Marker, before taking a turn with Ra's. So on OM 2 if you reveal the X you get to take a turn with 2 assassins then Ra's. On OM 3 you would be able to take a turn with 3 assassins then Ra's. |

Re: The Book of Ra's al Ghul (II) (Breathing)
Yeah, I put in an edit. I’m not CRB but my gut says it’s too much attack power per round for 230 points. I’d consider making it instead of a Ra’s turn to keep him in check.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Ra's al Ghul (II) (Breathing)
Hmmm... yeah, feeling a bit high? Perhaps add a line to the three turn thing saying that Ra's may be one of the figures activated, if you do that?

Re: The Book of Ra's al Ghul (II) (Breathing)
Especially since some of those activations (not on the “X” turn, I know) can be three figure squads, I should add!
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Ra's al Ghul (II) (Breathing)
He'd need to be able to take a turn afterwards so that you can effectively use Ubu to lay the pit then Ra's steps onto it. So I'd want to keep him involved.
