Re: The Book of Poison Ivy II (Breathing)
NAME = POISON IVY
SECRET IDENTITY = PAMELA ISLEY SPECIES = METAHUMAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = CRIMINAL PERSONALITY = MANIPULATIVE SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 4 LIFE = 6 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 3 POINTS = 175 PLANT ANIMATION 12 After moving and instead of attacking, roll the 20-sided die for all opponents' figures within two spaces of an Evergreen Tree or Jungle Piece that is within 6 spaces of Poison Ivy, one at a time. If you roll 12 or higher, the figure receives one wound. TOXIC LOVE 12 After taking a turn with Poison Ivy, you may roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 12 or higher, you may either choose a figure adjacent to Poison Ivy to receive one wound, or, if Poison Ivy is on a grass space, swamp space, or adjacent to an Evergreen Tree or Jungle Piece, you may remove one Wound Marker from this card. MOTHER NATURE While Poison Ivy is in play, all figures you control without the Super Strength special power add 1 to their Defense number while adjacent to an Evergreen Tree or Jungle Piece, and may add 2 to their Move number if their entire normal movement consists of grass and swamp spaces. Re: The Book of Poison Ivy II (Breathing)
No issues. My only question is whether we do want to go with Criminal for class - she does have history with the Suicide Squad and all but there's a lot of synergy there we may not want to hook her into. Time and testing will tell, though.
Otherwise I'd suggest something like "TOXIC LOVE" for the healing/wounding power but maybe that's just me. ![]() JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Poison Ivy II (Breathing)
I like the idea of putting her into the Criminal web. Robust though it is, it gives her a big differentiating factor from Ivy I and it makes it easier for her to find her way into Batman villain team ups. Suicide Squad is a nice bonus.

Re: The Book of Poison Ivy II (Breathing)
I'd be fine with Siren, but there's no synergy for that. It's fitting though, given how she operates.

Re: The Book of Poison Ivy II (Breathing)
I am fine with Siren or Criminal but Criminal is going to have a heavy tax.

Re: The Book of Poison Ivy II (Breathing)
I'd be fine with the name "Toxic Love" as well johnny. I'm pretty satisfied with the design itself, so little name changes or a class change, I'm on board with if that's what people are wanting.

Re: The Book of Poison Ivy II (Breathing)
As far as the Criminal synergy goes, after looking through each Criminal we have in the archive, there's about 50% more that have SS vs. non-SS(Non: 10, SS: 16), so she's really not offering the group a ton of value. She however, would be the one who is benefited by things such as Hush's Vendetta attack boost, Wizard's increased movement, or Lex Corp's attack boost etc. Though she's a relatively light hitter as-is, so attack boosts aren't really a great bonus to her, nor is the movement when she's offering herself +1 movement in most cases.
There's also not a lot of thematic pairings in the group for her to really thrive on, other than a couple of Arkham buddies, and the fact that they are criminals... |

Re: The Book of Poison Ivy II (Breathing)
The Lex tie-in is thematic at least. I like it for Suicide Squad reasons and for differentiating her from 1.0
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Poison Ivy II (Breathing)
I'm certainly not against Criminal for her class, I'm just breaking it down to see what it's actually offering her, and what she's offering the group.
What she's offering the group seems to be minimal, as most of the Criminals that are actually decent threats, have Superstrength, thus are unaffected by her bonuses. So that shouldn't really hurt her cost much at all. As for what she's gaining from being a Criminal:
So I don't see much cost increase due to being a Criminal, maybe 10 points at most? Regardless, I'm indifferent on Criminal vs. Siren. Heck, we could even throw Terrorist into the mix. Not a very good synergy for her though. I kind of like the idea of class being meaningless for her, and the non-Superstrength being more defining for her synergy wise. After all, we're trying to encourage the Sirens, Birds of Prey, and Arkham team ups more than anything. Suicide Squad is a neat bonus though. |
