Re: The Holocron of Luke Skywalker, Padawan
Luke continues to be a valuable apprentice for Obi-Wan.
In testing I really enjoyed Padawan Luke. Even though the ability seems to imply it, it is sometimes better NOT to rush to the aid of an engaged hero, but rather to use disengage to break through enemy lines and attack something (Tarkin, Officer, etc) behind the front line. With bonding with Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan can force push a figure to clear the way for Luke to charge through. With 1 attack and force push, then force leap and disengage, the options for mobility are quite good. Jugger It's like football with swords or LARPing without the geeky stuff. In other words, it's awesomely perfect! |

Re: The Holocron of Luke Skywalker, Padawan
Agreed. Luke and Obi-Wan together can be quite dangerous. Another strategy is to get Obi-Wan engaged with a big hero, then rush Luke up adjacent to Obi-Wan for an extra defense die and a double attack beatdown.

Re: The Holocron of Luke Skywalker, Padawan
I piggybacked him up to an attack glyph, used my other heroes until they died, and finished up with yoda. It was awesome how he played.(tested on swamps of Dagobah no less.)

Re: The Holocron of Luke Skywalker, Padawan
I think it would be helpful to add the Force Power definitions to the relevant books. I always find myself searching for the power description and always forget where to find them (I don't want to download the rulebook or search through it, so I usually end up looking at the Darth Vader Book, which has the powers listed under Rule Clarifications)

That's 600pts. 360 + 120 = 480; +120 = 600.

Re: The Holocron of Luke Skywalker, Padawan
600 points it is then. That gives me more room to fit in Vader along with some support units. Or maybe I'll send then against Veers and an AT-ST.

Re: The Holocron of Luke Skywalker, Padawan
After the death of his aunt and uncle on Tatooine, Luke Skywalker joined company with Obi-Wan Kenobi, who wished to train the boy in the ways of the Force. Luke began his training while on a mission with Kenobi, who was then slain by Darth Vader. Kenobi's Force Spirit instructed Luke to continue his training under Jedi Master Yoda on Dagobah. During his time on Dagobah, Luke proved to be impatient, impulsive and full of emotions, especially concerning his companions, Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa. Master Yoda expressed doubts that Skywalker was ready to be a Jedi, and Luke left Dagobah before completing his training to help his friends, whom he sensed to be in danger.
