C3G Power Rankings - Major Update In Progress!
All suggestions and input regarding units' rankings, colors, and descriptions are gladly welcomed and encouraged.
Before anything else, credit goes to Spider Poison for the idea.
And, basis for official MARVEL rankings courtesy of Spider Poison and Jexix.
Since C3G thoroughly tests each unit to insure that they are of high quality, our units are not ranked here using a letter system. Rather, they are ranked using a grading system. Those units in Grade 1 are not necessarily bad units, they are simply the worst units in C3G. Again, just because a unit is in a low grade does not mean it is bad, rather that other units are better.
Red = Place a lot of Order Markers on these units to get the most out of them.
Blue = You don't need to place a lot of Order Markers on these units for them to be good.
Green = Somewhere in between the above 2.
Purple = These units are either good conditionally, or good as support units.
Pink = It is generally best to avoid these units unless drafting.
Black = Color choice pending.

Spoiler Alert!
The Book of 5th Precinct Beat Cops (65 points) DC - They're a nice way to help low life heroes stick around longer and are a good counter to common squads, but with only 3 figures have limited killing potential. B.
The Book of Abomination (320 points) MARVEL - Squads can be troublesome, but Abomination's beastly attack can rip through all opposing figures. B.
The Book of Abomination (Emil Blonsky) (360 points) MARVEL
The Book of Absorbing Man (Carl Creel) (260 points) MARVEL
The Book of Alfred Pennyworth (60 points) DC - With an Explosion attack, the ability to heal and the ability to save Vigilantes and Sidekicks from danger, for only 60 points, Alfred is definitely top-notch quality. The only thing that deters him is his tendency to die quickly. A+.
The Book of Amazon Warriors (100 points) DC
The Book of Angel (Warren Worthington III) (90 points) MARVEL - This guy takes skill to use right but he's an incredible defensive figure in any army and helps heroes without flight make up ground as well. A+.
The Book of Annihilus (360 points) MARVEL
The Book of Ant-Man (Hank Pym) (30 points) MARVEL
The Book of Anti-Monitor (1600 points) DC
The Book of Aquaman (Arthur Curry) (230 points) DC
The Book of Archangel (Warren Worthington III) (260 points) MARVEL
The Book of Arkham Inmates (60 points) DC
The Book of Atom (Ray Palmer) (50 points) DC
The Book of Avalanche (Dominikos Petrakis) (145 points) MARVEL
The Book of Awesome Android (250 points) MARVEL
The Book of Azrael (Jean-Paul Valley) (170 points) DC
The Book of Bad Cops (55 points) DC

The Book of Baron Von Strucker (Wolfgang Von Strucker) (210 points) MARVEL
The Book of Baron Zemo (Heinrich Zemo) (170 points) MARVEL
The Book of Batman (Bruce Wayne) (200 points) DC - With solid stats, a ranged special attack, and a power that counters attacks, Batman is a solid choice in most armies. However, his low life and a missed roll here and there can kill him easily. B.
The Book of Batman (Bruce Wayne) (II) (250 points) DC
The Book of Batman (Terry McGinnis) (150 points) DC - Stealth Suit works wonders defensively, and Tactical Comlink gives you the options you need. Also, Vigilante benefits don't hurt. B.
The Book of Beast (Hank McCoy) (170 points) MARVEL - His Negotiation is useful in a Professor X army and his other powers can be nice squad busters, but he doesn't stand up well to heavy hitters and is more of a niche draft at times. B.
The Book of Beyonder (2500 points) MARVEL
The Book of Billy Batson (60 points) DC
The Book of Bizarro (Kent Clark) (310 points) DC
The Book of Black Adam (Theo Adam) (380 points) DC
The Book of Black Canary (Dinah Lance) (190 points) DC - With the ability to hit multiple times and get extra help from Green Arrow, she seems quite good. But she dies first in most games. B+.
The Book of Black Cat (Felicia Hardy) (135 points) MARVEL
The Book of Black Mask (Roman Sionis) (100 points) DC - Why do we hurt the ones we love? He's not great on his own, but in a Thug army, he's probably the most useful of the Crime Lords. B-.
The Book of Black Panther (T'Challa) (200 points) MARVEL
The Book of Black Widow (Natalia Romanova) (170 points) MARVEL
The Book of Blade (Eric Brooks) (230 points) MARVEL
The Book of Blink (Clarice Ferguson) (145 points) MARVEL
The Book of Blob (Fred Dukes) (165 points) MARVEL - Great for sticking figures on and tying them up! With so many special attacks and big normal attacks around, though, he doesn't always stick around as long as you'd like. The only drawback is how slow he is, but even that's not too big of a problem, considering his staying power. A-.
The Book of Bob, Agent of HYDRA (25 points) MARVEL - He's pretty stuck to a Deadpool draft to be worth his points and at 25 points is much less desirable as a filler unit than he would've been at 15. There are so many filler units that would be better options. F.
The Book of Bodyguard (15 points) DC - For just 15 points, these guys work great even without Crime Lords or Masterminds. Their stats make them worthwhile. B.
The Book of Boomerang (Frederick Myers) (130 points) MARVEL
The Book of Brainiac (Vril Dox) (800 points) DC
The Book of Brainiac 5 (Querl Dox) (130 points) DC
The Book of Bruce Banner (70 points) MARVEL
The Book of Bucky (James Barnes) (60 points) MARVEL
The Book of Buffy Summers (210 points) DARK HORSE
The Book of Bullseye (Lester ???)(175 points) MARVEL
The Book of Captain America (220 points) MARVEL - Though he has solid stats like most Marvel figures, the Cap's multiple attacks propel him over the others. A.
The Book of Captain America (Steve Rogers) (240 points) MARVEL
The Book of Captain Boomerang (George "Digger" Harkness) (90 points) DC
The Book of Captain Cold (Leonard Snart) (90 points) DC
The Book of Captain Marvel (Billy Batson) (360 points) DC
The Book of Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) (400 points) MARVEL
The Book of Carnage (Cletus Kasady) (280 points) MARVEL
The Book of Catwoman (Selina Kyle) (145 points) DC - Her whip is nice, but takes finesse, and her 9 lives get eaten up fast unless you have D20 luck. B-.
The Book of Chameleon (Dmitri Kravinoff) (100 points) MARVEL
The Book of Chronos (David Clinton) (75 points) DC
The Book of Civilians (45 points) MARVEL - They're no rats, but they're still a nice cheap meat screen. B+.
The Book of Clayface (Basil Karlo) (240 points) DC
The Book of Cloak (Tyrone Johnson) (195 points) MARVEL
The Book of Colossus (Piotr Rasputin) (260 points) MARVEL - His single attack makes him not always the best use of an Order Marker, but he's useful as a way to get Wolverine in better attack position. His ability is great for picking off annoying squads, and his only downside is one attack per turn. B+.
The Book of Commissioner Gordon (James Gordon)(90 points) DC - With a save for Vigilantes and a movement bonus for Lawmen, Gordon works great as a support unit in two different factions. B.
The Book of Cosmic Boy (Rokk Krinn) (260 points) DC
The Book of Count Vertigo (Werner Vertigo) (160 points) DC - With a chance to eliminate special attacks and range, Count Vertigo seems like a perfect pick. But, his low defense and life usually doesn't let him last too long to be effective. He's more of a distraction unit. B-.
The Book of Creeper (Jack Ryder) (125 points) DC
The Book of Cyborg Superman (Hank Henshaw) (380 points) DC
The Book of Cyclops (Scott Summers) (190 points) MARVEL - If you can't fit Professor X into a Mutant army, you go with this guy. For Order Marker flexibility alone, he's awesome. And no unit does more to let Jean Grey shine at her fullest. Oh, and his special attack doesn't hurt either. Like Black Canary, though, he always dies too soon. B+.
The Book of Dagger (Tandy Bowen) (105 points) MARVEL
The Book of Daredevil (Matt Murdock) (180 points) MARVEL
The Book of Darkseid (Uxas) (380 points) DC - Very intimidating, Darkseid can weaken all opponents and can hit very hard. However, his special attack has a downside and he's very slow. A.
The Book of Dazzler (Alison Blaire) (100 points) MARVEL
The Book of Deadpool (Wade Wilson) (285 points) MARVEL -
His threat range combined with his healing powers help him go on offensive tears even without the help of flying. Double attack is a really simple power, but it's just so useful. If you don't keep the heat on him, he'll just heal up and cause more problems. And his wisecrack is great for protecting other cheerleader units. A.
The Book of Deadshot (Floyd Lawton) (150 points) DC
The Book of Deathstroke (Slade Wilson) (280 points) DC
The Book of Destiny (Irene Adler) (55 points) MARVEL
The Book of Doctor Doom (245 points) MARVEL -
His Mind Control is okay, but that's all he does. He's easily the worst choice of anyone in the low 200s. C-.

The Book of Doctor Fate (Kent Nelson) (290 points) DC
The Book of Doctor Light (Arthur Light) (190 points) DC
The Book of Doctor Octopus (Otto Octavius) (215 points) MARVEL
The Book of Doctor Strange (Steven Strange) (300 points) MARVEL
The Book of Doombot (95 points) MARVEL
The Book of Doomsday (390 points) DC - He doesn't seem to have a real answer to squads and his healing is painfully slow. Though his abilities are scary on paper, even though they are pretty ingenious, they rarely help as much as you'd think. Wasting an entire turn to heal a single wound doesn't seem as good as attacking, and wasting six Order markers to revive him can hurt you terribly, especially when you could be taking 6 turns with the rest of your army B-.
The Book of Dragon Man (320 points) MARVEL

The Book of Fire Ant Swarm (10 points) MARVEL
The Book of Firefly (Garfield Lynns) (120 points) DC
The Book of Flash (Barry Allen) (250 points) DC - Working with every posible combination of units, the Flash is fast and mobile, blocks most attacks, and can get in up to 4 attacks each turn. He's fast, strong, and never a waste of an Order Marker. A-.

The Book of Frankenstein (Frankenstein's Monster) (320 points) DC

The Book of Gorilla Grodd (225 points) DC
The Book of Graviton (Franklin Hall) (400 points) MARVEL
The Book of Green Arrow (Connor Hawke) (130 points) DC - Although, he works well with Black Canary, Green Arrow is also fabulous on his own. With 10 range and a defense-lowering power, Green Arrow gets through to almost every enemy. B.
The Book of Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) (150 points)DC
The Book of Green Construct Mech (120 points) DC
The Book of Green Goblin (Norman Osborn) (230 points) MARVEL
The Book of Green Lantern (Guy Gardner)(320 points) DC
The Book of Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) (350 points) DC - He can go on a streak and usually feels worth his points when played well, but he rarely absolutely tears things up. But unless you get lucky with the D20, the single activation per turn for suck an expensive figure isn't the greatest. A-.
The Book of Green Lantern (John Stewart)(340 points) DC
The Book of Green Lantern (Kilowog) (310 points) DC
The Book of Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner)(300 points) DC
The Book of Hand Ninja (85 points) MARVEL
The Book of Harley Quinn (Harleen Quinzel) (130 points) DC - A welcome addition to any insane army, but she is hardly the worst threat ever. Her bomb is pretty sweet, but after it goes off, she isn't packing any heat. B.
The Book of Hawkeye (Clint Barton) (150 points) MARVEL
The Book of Hawkgirl (Shayera Hol) (225 points) DC - She's tough and can take anyone down a peg, and stealth flying is always great, but she doesn't have enough synergies to make her a must draft. B.
The Book of Hawkman (Katar Hol) (225 points) DC
The Book of Hawkmen of Thanagar (100 points) DC
The Book of Heat Wave (Mick Rory) (110 points) DC
The Book of Hercules (360 points) MARVEL
The Book of Hired Guns (130 points) MARVEL -
8 attacks in a single turn with range is extremely powerful, and the synergy only boosts them more, but they die so quickly you only get a couple of turns with them to deal some damage. A.
The Book of The Hood (180 points) (Parker Robbins) MARVEL
The Book of Hugo Strange (155 points) DC
The Book of Human Torch (Jim Hammond) (150 points) MARVEL
The Book of Human Torch (Johnny Storm) (225 points) MARVEL
The Book of Huntress (Helena Bertinelli) (170 points) DC - She has a lot of tactical flexibility, but it depends on precarious placement, and her staying power can be iffy. Her counterstrike is scary, often times sacrificing her attacker to take her out. B.
The Book of Hush (Thomas Elliott) (220 points) DC
The Book of HYDRA Agents (80 points) MARVEL
The Book of Hydro-Man (Morris Bench) (190 points) MARVEL
The Book of Iceman (Bobby Drake) (150 points) MARVEL - His special attack can be invaluable in a Mutant army and his cost is often a steal in one. On an ice map, he only gets better. B+.
The Book of Icicle (Cameron Mahkent) (150 points) DC
The Book of Impossible Man (430 points) MARVEL
The Book of Incredible Hulk (370 points) MARVEL - Though stronger than his counterpart, Hulk's large attack is often overkill against many classic figures. B+.
The Book of Incredible Hulk (Bruce Banner) (380 points) MARVEL
The Book of Intergang Agents (120 points) DC
The Book of Invincible (Markus Grayson) (360 points) IMAGE
The Book of Invisible Woman (Sue Richards) (215 points) MARVEL

The Book of Iron Man (Stealth Suit) (Tony Stark) (270 points) MARVEL
The Book of Jean Grey (180 points) MARVEL - If she's with Cyclops or Professor X, she really gets to shine. Played on her own, missed D20 rolls are too costly. A-.
The Book of Jewel (Jessica Jones) (150 points) MARVEL
The Book of Jocasta (180 points) MARVEL
The Book of Joker (???) (190 points) DC - His Reorganized Chaos can absolutely devastate bread and butter armies with low cost fillers or hero heavy armies with one man close to dead. But his offensive punch isn't that great and a dead Batman can pretty much render him useless. B.
The Book of Joker (???) (II) (140 points) DC
The Book of Joker Goons (120 points) DC
The Book of Jonah Hex (130 points) DC - With decent stats, Bounty Hunter, and a strong melee attack, he finally gave the lawmen that boost they needed. A-.

The Book of Mad Thinker (180 points) MARVEL
The Book of Magma (Amara Aquilla) (170 points) MARVEL
The Book of Magneto (Erik Lehnsherr) (310 points) MARVEL - He takes a lot of finesse to play and really needs a good meat screen, but if he gets one, he can take down the toughest figures out there. A bit of a glass jaw, but he'll rarely disappoint, unless you totally screw up. B.
The Book of Magneto (II) (Erik Lehnsherr) (375 points) MARVEL
The Book of Malice (Susan Richards) (300 points) MARVEL

The Book of Master Mold (520 points) MARVEL
The Book of Merlyn (160 points) DC

The Book of Mysterio (Quentin Beck) (115 points) MARVEL
The Book of Mysterio Holographs (35 points) MARVEL
The Book of Mystique (Raven Darkholme) (165 points) MARVEL - She's a good assassin figure. Useful, definitely, but she lacks the punch that most Super fights require. B-.
The Book of Nick Fury (220 points) MARVEL
The Book of Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner) (140 points) MARVEL - His attack and teleporting are good, but his D20 roll is just unreliable and without it he's always dying too soon. B-.
The Book of Nimrod (450 points) MARVEL
The Book of Non (330 points) DC
The Book of Parademon Shock Troopers (80 points) DC
The Book of Parasite (Rudy Jones) (240 points) DC
The Book of Penguin (Oswald Cobblepot) (120 points) DC - The second most reliable Crime Lord, he can derail your plans at times, but does pack some offensive punch to make up for a lack of boosts to offer the Thugs. B.
The Book of Pied Piper (Hartley Rathaway) (80 points) DC
The Book of Plastic Man (Eel O'Brian) (145 points) DC - His ability to deflect bullets seems to act more as a deterrent than anything and rarely comes into play. He's not strong enough to do too much damage, but he's got enough defense to stay in there for a long time. His best role seems to be as a lower point addition to an Adventurer/Scientist army. B-.
The Book of Poison Ivy (Pamela Isley) (165 points) DC - She's crazy streaky. People have had great success with her, even on maps without trees, and she's a bit situational. Still, her potential keeps her this high. B.
The Book of Professor X (Charles Xavier) (220 points) MARVEL - He'll rarely kill his points worth, but that's because he rarely has to. This guy absolutely makes Mutant armies go and his Psychic Defense X is a nice defensive power to keep him around. That, combined with his special attack, also make him a nice end gamer. Once you hit 1000 points or more, which isn't uncommon for SuperHeroscape, this guy truly shines. A+.
The Book of Professor Zoom (Eobard Thawne) (250 points) DC
The Book of Prowler (Hobie Brown) (130 points) MARVEL

The Book of Puppet Master (Phillip Masters) (140 points) MARVEL
The Book of Pyro (St. John Allerdyce) (120 points) MARVEL - His specials look great on paper but are a bit hard to pull off at times. If you can move him forward quick, he can cause some chaos in the start zones, but otherwise, meh. B-.

The Book of Red Tornado (John Smith) (300 points) DC
The Book of Rhino (Aleksei Sytsevich) (220 points) MARVEL

The Book of Robin (Tim Drake) (120 points) DC - He's not very tough at all on his own, but the free turn addition to any Vigilante and the mobility to keep up are huge perks in hero heavy armies. An extra attack of four once in a while is pretty worth it. And the fact that he's hard to take down around his vigilante buddies makes him more annoying for your opponent. B.
The Book of Rogue (Anna Marie) (300 points) MARVEL
The Book of Ronan (360 points) MARVEL
The Book of Sabretooth (Victor Creed) (290 points) MARVEL

The Book of Skrull Warriors (110 points) MARVEL
The Book of Solomon Grundy (Cyrus Gold) (290 points) DC - His big attack was great when he was one of only two or three villains capable of taking down Superman. The Book of Spider-Girl (May Parker) (140 points) MARVEL

The Book of Superman (Kal-El) (400 points) DC - A rare hero who can consistently stand up to heavy hitters and squads alike, even if the latter takes a bit of patience. He's also been known to absolutely bulldoze mid level heroes, but the increasing number of brutal special attacks and wound causing powers is taking him down a peg or two - not to mention Kryptonians to send against him. A-.
The Book of Superman (Kal-El) (II) (450 points) DC
The Book of Swamp Thing (Alec Holland) (235) DC
The Book of Talia al Ghul (110 points) DC

The Book of The Thing (Ben Grimm) (325 points) MARVEL
The Book of Tigra (Greer Nelson) (170 points) MARVEL
The Book of Thor (Thor Odinson) (430 points) MARVEL - His cost is huge, but he's worth every penny! I once saw this guy put wounds on two adjacent figures and then one shot Batman from six spaces away all on the same attack! Sick! His life/defense combo is just this side of broken. A.
The Book of Toad (Mortimer Toynbee) (95 points) MARVEL - There's just never a reason to take him over Angel. His tongue lash is great for pulling people out of engagements and causing havoc, but he usually dies too quickly to be too much of a threat. B.
The Book of Trapster (Peter Petruski) (75 points) MARVEL
The Book of Trickster (James Jesse) (65 points) DC
The Book of Two-Face (Harvey Dent) (130 points) DC - The streakiest of the Crime Lords, when he gets hot, he's awesome, but he's just as likely to kill himself and those around him. Adding him to the Street Thugs is a nice way to reduce the risk of playing him, though, and giving him more of a chance to go on a run of attacks. Bonding is the only thing keeping him from a D ranking. C-.
The Book of Ubu (100 points) DC
The Book of Ultron (Ultron Pym) (680 points) MARVEL
The Book of Uncle Sam (240 points) DC
The Book of Ursa (230 points) DC
The Book of Vampire Minions (90 points) MARVEL
The Book of Venom (150 points) MARVEL - He has Vigilante synergy, and a powerful attack for just 150 points is a steal. B+.
The Book of Venom (Eddie Brock) (230 points) MARVEL
The Book of Ventriloquist (Arnold Wesker) (90 points) DC
The Book of Vision (Victor Shade) (285 points) MARVEL
The Book of Vixen (Mari Jiwe McCabe) (150 points) DC
The Book of Vulture (Adrian Toomes) (90 points) MARVEL
The Book of War Machine (James Rhodes) (270 points) MARVEL
The Book of Wasp (Janet Van Dyne) (50 points) MARVEL
The Book of Weather Wizard (Mark Mardon) (100 points) DC
The Book of Wendigo (Paul Cartier) (350 points) MARVEL
The Book of Werewolf (130 points) DARK HORSE
The Book of White Martian (150 points) DC
The Book of Winter Soldier (James Barnes) (240 points) MARVEL
The Book of Wizard (Bentley Wittman) (140 points) MARVEL
The Book of Wolverine (James Howlett) (280 points) MARVEL - Just as good as Deadpool but in different ways. His claws can slice through the toughest competition and if you don't have the attacks to do anything but chip away at him, he'll outlast anyone. A.
The Book of Wonder Man (Simon Williams) (350 points) MARVEL
The Book of Wonder Woman (Diana Prince) (300 points) DC - Her lasso is a great counter, but it can be tough to pull off. A-.
The Book of Yellowjacket (Hank Pym) (120 points) MARVEL
The Book of Yellow Lantern (Arkillo) (310 points) DC - His eviscerate is nasty, but he's the easiest to kill of any Lantern. A-.
The Book of Yellow Lantern (Jonathan Crane) (240 points) DC
The Book of Yellow Lantern (Thaal Sinestro) (330 points) DC
The Book of Zatanna (Zatanna Zatara) (240 points) DC
The Book of Zauriel (320 points) DC
