Colorado 1/16/10 tournament results

A good time was had by all in Boulder.

The event format involved a 750 point drafting pool. Games were played at either 380, 450, 520, or 590 points, with various game formats depending on the map (kill 'em all, capture the flag, kill the general, and escape).

* they had to leave early, but thanks to the rolling rumble format, this really isn't an issue.

During the Map contest, the tension was high...


Ross finished first-- with a map built from the new D&D Master Set, was he the front-runner?


Though Eric's Swamp & Ice map made the others green with envy as their faces turned white with fear of having to face such a mighty map!


Troy got a late start, but his lava map was on fire!


But could any of them handle the heat of the jungle?


The answer was "no"! The heat of the jungle was far too much for everyone else. Chris and Daniel won the map contest with a father/son created map. Congrats, you two! Onto the spoils of victory:


Chief had brought a sweet dragon-rider for the prize table-- it went quickly.

Yeah, it's a pretty big advantage. I've got other maps I'm more interested in putting through the fire at this point, so I'm happy to give that one a rest.
