Maurice Sendak, rest in peace

Today marks the passing of a giant.

Nobody did it better. Just because the book is for kids does not mean it can't challenge the reader.

Sad day.

Link.

He was a master. One of my absolute heroes. Unrelentingly honest and original.

Wow, Whitney, Yauch and now Sendak. We are losing legends.

Re: Maurice Sendak, rest in peace

I didn't read his stuff when I was growing up, but I was exposed to his works after the Where the Wild Things are movie, which I thought was simply amazing. Sorry to see him go.

Re: Maurice Sendak, rest in peace

I loved his books when I was a kid, another great loss.
