Well met! The Rogue faction is relatively weak. Boosting its ranged and adjacent attacks in the way laid out below does not help them unreasonably, IMHO. Based on where we ae now with the powers developed through Captain Xue and Ravenwolf, this might work: CAPTAIN XUE General: Vydar Human, Unique Hero, Rogue, Tricky, Medium 5 Life 5, Move 5, Range 7, Attack 3, Defense 3 DOUBLE ATTACK When Captain Xue attacks, she may attack one additional time. HAND CANNON When Captain Xue rolls attack dice, roll a 20-sided die. On a roll of 15 or higher, add one automatic skull to whatever is rolled. If Captain Xue attacks an adjacent figure, add 5 to your roll. ROGUE COMMANDER When a Rogue figure you control that is Captain Xue or within 6 clear sight spaces of Captain Xue rolls defense dice against a normal attack from an adjacent figure, roll a 20-sided die. On a roll of 15 or higher, add one automatic shield to whatever is rolled. When a Rogue figure you control that is within 6 clear sight spaces of Captain Xue rolls attack dice, roll a 20-sided die. On a roll of 15 or higher, add one automatic skull to whatever is rolled. If a Rogue figure you control that is within 6 clear sight spaces of Captain Xue attacks an adjacent figure, add 3 to your roll. 125 Points Last edited by kolakoski; February 7th, 2024 at 05:42 PM. |

Well met! I'm thinking that there will undoubtedly be significant differences between @Dad_Scape's Pirates and Renegade's. The "test" for Captain Xue is now merely for the mechanics. I'd prefer to drop Ravenwolf into the pod in place of Captain Xue on the 21st, but, in any case, we're good to go. |

Well met! For testing on the 21st, there are no Nottingham Brigands or Romans (that I know of) in the pods. The cool thing about Ravenwolf is that he looks to be fun and interesting to play as a standalone. In March, we will see him with Rogues, but no Romans (at least in my army). Ravenwolf is very old school, with no Special Attacks or any defense against them. Just like one of my favorites, the Ninjas of the Northern Wind, Ravenwolf's value is much less than it would have been back in the day. Thus, his current estimated price - as far as it goes. He is a Rogue, and, with Disgraced Warlord, he has Bonding with both the Nottingham Brigands and (to a lesser extent) the Romans. There is value in that Bonding, but I'm thinking 115 is no worse for Ravenwolf than 120 for Kaemon Awa. I could see Ravenwolf costing as much as 130, based on Locksley. Testing will help with value. Playing with the Disgraced concept: Human Female Barbarian - Pathfinder Icons of the Realms MORRIGAN THE WOLF General: Einar Human, Unique Hero, Rogue, Reckless, Medium 5 Life 5, Move 5, Range 1, Attack 4, Defense 4 DISGRACED CHAMPION If there is at least 1 Champion in your army and 1 is destroyed, Red Morrigan becomes a Champion in addition to her current Class. RECKLESS SECOND SWING When Red Morrigan wounds a figure with her normal attack, she must attack one additional time, if possible. BATTLE FRENZY After attacking with Red Morrigan, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 16 or higher, you may attack again with Red Morrigan. POINTS: 105 P.S.: Easy to see how Red Morrigan may have disgraced herself by killing someone of importance on her own side. I believe both Red Morrigan and Ravenwolf would be good additions to the Rogue faction, which is a little weak at the moment. P.P.S.: As you can see, if you visited here recently, you know that, after a PM from Dad_Scaper, I replaced the mini below with the one above, and changed her name from Red Morrigan to Morrigan the Wolf. Morrigan the Wolf, Ravenwolf. I'll explain in their bios . . . By the way, I have just purchased the mini for Morrigan the Wolf. Well met! So . . . On the 21st, we're testing Ravenwolf within the confines of the Gang's monthly game day. The Dirty Dozen Freeze! Map. Mt. Thaelink’s Saddle V.2 by Nomad. Replace Power Glyphs with Brandar’s Chests. Expand Start Zones. [My tentative army for March fills 23 spaces.] Blizzard Conditions. Heavy Snow and Slippery Ice rules in effect. Armies. Team game. 600 points/player. Classic, C3V, SoV, allowed; no AoA or Marvel. Armies. 600 points/player, filling no more than 12 spaces. chas' protocols in effect. Victory Conditions. After ten Rounds, the team that destroyed the most figures wins. In case of a tie, the team possessing the most Brandar's Chests wins. If both teams possess the same number of Brandar's Chests, the game is considered drawn. Subsequently, with chas and whomever else wishes to attend, I shall schedule some special test games, beginning with the following scenario, as soon as I can. The Call of the Wild! The Map. Predator by Dignan. Replace Power Glyphs with Brandar's Chests. Add Start Zones. The Armies. Team game. 600 points/player. Classic, C3V, or SoV allowed; no AoA or Marvel. Victory Conditions. Definitely agree. Those factions in particular lack a lot of tools in a lot of situations. It would be cool to see certain factions expand to the same level as say... orcs, where they have plenty of options for plenty of situations that allow for diverse army building.
Would love to see a bruiser or a 'tough guy' type for the rogues. Or could always just continue the play on things that Locksley started :P and do some light references to Robin Hood legends with a Little John type or a Will Scarlet type. |

Lay on Hands is one of my favorite powers, it's the most efficient healing power in the game. That looks like a really cool direction, maybe we should collab on filling out the rest of the robin hood esque band sometime
Also, a word on your unit that uses the female barbarian sculpt. Really cool looking unit, she cape and furs she wears looks really similar to how the Wulfing Hunters are dressed, would be cool if they wanted to play in the same army for something. |
