Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Luke Cage
100% echo LP here. Good leader in a pretty diverse faction (only thing they’re really missing is expensive range I think). Has competition with Songbird and Night Thrasher in the same price range, but they’re all viable.
Terrain power isn’t my favorite, but he’s still usually worth his cost without it. |

I've definitely played him in games where he never uses his terrain power, and he's still plenty good.

I don't think I've ever gotten the terrain boost for Cage. He's a faction lynchpin regardless.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Luke Cage
It's always bothered me that he has to roll at least 1 shield to get his power to work. It's not like he has to "set" his impenetrable skin. It's just impenetrable. Even if he doesn't see the attack coming, the skin will still protect him.
Conversely, Magic Defense is always protecting. In my mind, the Magic user should still have to recognize a threat and react to it by casting a spell, be rolling 1 shield. Unless it's just one of those Harry Potter 'always on' spells, which is silly |

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Luke Cage
Magical Defense is rarely paired with high defensive numbers, though, so for the most part it's just a matter of wearing them down.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

One of the reasons I play on Chernobyl for all my tests is because it has primarily asphalt and concrete in the center.

Grundy's Grave is a decent map for Luke as well.
