Your Opinions on map building?

In your experiences when playing 2 to 3 players, do you lean more towards using larger open flater maps or smaller maps with higher ground.

Depends on the mood and what the others want to play. We tend to have LARGE maps with lots of trees and mountains.

If you take a look at the maps my friends and I have built, you'll notice we tend to go for some bigger, higher leveled maps. I do enjoy a very large, flat map at times, with some slight elevation changes in spots. Chances are though, if I build a map, I try to use everything I can, whiches means the Castle set, which means higher maps.

KidScaper & I like height. In 2 maps we've built with the castle set(s), both times we've used columns to hold up high levels of terrain.

But we're both kids , so your mileage may vary.
