I've played SWG off and on for some time now. I actually restarted my account a few days ago (Well, I added Station Access).

I'll just say it's a different fun now than it was, but it is still fun.

This space for rent.

I play SWG. My toon is Quovau on the Kettemoor server.

I stopped playing for six months right after NGE hit, but I couldn't find another MMO that I liked as much as SWG. So I went back in July 2006 and have been playing since. As much as SWG has going against, it is still better than the other MMO's I have played; I.E. EQ, EQ2, and WOW. I even tried several free games (Eternal Lands and Anarchy Online) but you get what you pay for.

I wanted to like SWG, but nothing about it made me feel like I was actually in the SW universe. Sure, there's Jedi and Wookiees and such, but if felt more like EQ with SW trappings bolted on. It's easily one of the biggest disappointments I've had in an MMORPG.

I used to play SWG, and I am the hugest Star Wars fan.
I don't feel my need to qualify myself, but I like the person posting above me tried so hard to like it.
I didn't even notice I was *trying*, I just sort of went through the motions of playing and liking a game, and eventually realized I haven't been having ANY fun.

That being said, they changed the game completely now.... twice.
So take this with a grain of salt.

I was a star wars fan too, and got this when it came out. It was crap. could barely stand playing the first month. Keep it dragging along for 3 months, and then cancelled it. After playing Dark age of Camelot for 3 years, this game falls way short of fun, compared to that game.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

The best star wars strategy game is easily either of the KOTORs(Knights of the Old Republic)

i didnt like it much either, EQ2 was better imo, WoW was better than that, but aside from the screams and crys every 5 minutes to nerf this and nerf that DAoC was the best

Never argue with stupid people, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
