Re: The Book of Demogorgon Stalker - Initial Playtest
Sorry, I've been pretty busy this week. The end goal from here is to get the most use out of the Upside Down battlefield, so there is a viable reason/strategic benefit to bring it along and draft these little buggers. Here are the ideas to do that:

Re: The Book of Demogorgon Stalker - Initial Playtest
The main question I have is whether they can land straight on the Exit Space and then boop off to wherever they want in one go.
Also @LordVenoc , any further input from you would be great, sorry again for the confusion Otherwise, I move to approve these changes and whatnot. |

Re: The Book of Demogorgon Stalker - Initial Playtest
The wording for the second power is really confusing there.
DRAGGED INTO THE NETHER Before taking a turn with this Demogorgon Stalker, you may choose an opponent’s adjacent small or medium figure without the Super Strength special power up to X spaces away of this Demogorgon Stalker, where X is the number of wounds on that figure's card, and place this Demogorgon Stalker adjacent to the chosen figure. Whenever this Demogorgon Stalker moves or is moved in any way, you may place the chosen figure adjacent to this Demogorgon Stalker and it will not take any leaving engagement attacks. I'm assuming leaving the adjacent in is a typo and you want "within X spaces of"? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Demogorgon Stalker - Initial Playtest
I'd say you can ditch the Super Strength limitation. As is, you'd be able to drag people away if they only have 1 wound on them, which does make the early dogpile a lot more viable with those changes. It is a power boost but not a huge one.
I'd say with those changes (and maybe a clause on the Upside Down that only lets one figure leave per player turn) you could probably move ahead at about 185. |

Re: The Book of Demogorgon Stalker - Initial Playtest
I'd like to keep the Super Strength restriction if only for theme unless that's just not a good idea (I just can't see them overpowering Superman-types, even if they are wounded).
As written, could they move 0 spaces and grab someone with 0 wounds? |

If you think that's important theme to capture, then I'd say go for it. Not being able to function against probably 50% of figures in the game would just be a significant hit to their usability. |

Re: The Book of Demogorgon Stalker - Initial Playtest
175 should be fine if they can't drag Super Strength stuff, could probably see it going even lower. You should be good to propose Public Testing if you're comfortable with that layout.

Re: The Book of Demogorgon Stalker - Initial Playtest
Sweet, then I think we just need an Exit Space now, so whenever you have some free time
@tcglkn
, no rush, of course.
Other than that I propose we move to public playtesting! Last edited by Splash; March 29th, 2021 at 03:36 PM. |
