Joker terrorized my team once, because I had Bob along for filler. My opponent won initiative like every round and immediately threw two OMs on Bob and then refused to kill Bob. I had to march Bob right up the Joker and engage him before he'd put him out of his misery.

That's hilarious, GP! I'll go with Joker, because I think people don't fully realize his awesome potential.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Man the Joker has such potential. Joker and Harley Quinn synergy is amazing (Especially if you can get Harley Quinn near enough of your enemy's army to use smilex bomb special attack).
If you choose Blob and Count Vertigo and appropriately place them in front of Joker, you have it made (Make it so the only way to get to Joker is through the blob!). Have a heavy hitter (Death stroke is a great choice because of Quick Shot special attack, calculated defense, and his healing factor) and you have an intimidating army. If a few glyphs are placed, also draft Shadow thief for obvious reasons. Recap: 1. Joker - 190 2. Harley Quinn - 130 3. Death Stroke - 280 4. Blob - 165 5. Count Vertigo - 160 6. Shadow Thief - 70 995 pt. army or This is an army built on synergy (Bullseye + Elektra with the Hand Ninja is devastating) and can really help wipe your enemy out. Count Vertigo can help take care of ranged attacks as well which is what you want in order to protect Joker. 1. Joker - 190 2. Bullseye - 175 3. Elektra - 170 4. 3 Hand Ninja - 255 5. Count Vertigo - 160 (Nullify + Vertigo Effect can be a h*ll of a thing) 950 pt. army |

Another good X-Men Counter is, and for the heck of it I'll make it an all DC army:
1. Wonder Woman - 300 pts. (And she's well worth it) 2. The Flash - 250 pts. 3. Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) - 150 pts. 4. Black Canary - 190 pts. 890 pts. Wonder Woman can Golden Lasso Prof. X and really mess things up. Warrior's Engagement really makes it troubling for your opponent to disengage as well. Flash can run circles around your enemy and the synergy with Green Arrow and Black Canary can be more than handy. With 100 pts. remaining you don't have much to choose from so I would go with Commissioner Gordon at 90 pts bringing your army total to 980 pts. |

Actually now that I think of it, I believe Bob ended up killing Joker. Serves him right.

It goes cross-universe (of course, so does Blob), but Deadpool (who's also Insane) might be a better fit than Deathstroke for a 1,000 point army.
