The Adventures of Kaemon Awa - A Joint Story

I invite you all to post additional paragraphs to this story. At various points, I will "edit" it (eliminating the obvious jokers), and present a story-thus-far post.

The Adventures of Kaemon Awa

The sunrise was the crimson of a Wyrmling's hide when Rhogar entered his tent, but Kaemon was, of course, already lifting his shimmering armor from its resting place within the great chest of teak and banded iron that accompanied hin on all of his campaigns.

As was his wont, Rhogar wasted not a moment in reflection before striding swiftly to the brazier standing in the center of the tent and pouring a generous portion of the steaming liquid suspended over it into one of the gleaming goblets from the end of a nearby map table.

"Ahhhh . . . Saki! Nectar of Einar, Elixir of . . ."

"Einar did not invent Saki. It existed on Earth in Imperial Nippon before Einar was a gleam in his father's eye."

Rhogar opened his cavernous mouth as if to speak, paused dramatically, and belched, sending a gout of liquid flame towards the wall of the tent, while Kaemon, anticipating his friend's action, was already in the act of tossing the entire contents of his washbasin into the Feylundian's grinning face, incidentally dousing the flame, and soaking Rhogar's immaculate tunic, and the shining armor beneath it, in the process.

Sputtering what sounded suspiciously like an oath, Rhogar appeared for a split second as though he might deliver an even more fiery riposte . . . but quickly regained his composure.

"Ahhhh . . . Just the thing for a hot day of smiting Utgar's minions! . . . Good reflexes, by the way, for so early in the morning."

Pointing at the relatively fresh scorch mark on the otherwise pristine tent's wall, Kaemon said, "Burn me once . . . ", and laughed, as he tossed a towel only slightly damp from his own, recently executed, ablutions. It was indeed, after all, already a hot day.

I'd go along, but I'm pretty busy right now. You should probably take the route of starting a sign up thread of sorts, though now might be a bad time as we just finished a joint story thread not long ago...
