Re: The Book of Master Splinter
Can Father's Devotion stack if multiple Turtles are destroyed in a round?

Re: The Book of Master Splinter
He can certainly be moved multiple times and recover OMs multiple times, but I don't believe he can attack more times, no. It's exactly the same as Sif, though, so whatever the case is for her, it will be here.

Good point, didn't even realize the wording was the same. I went and skimmed Sif's thread but I didn't see the question raised there.

That's how I've always played Sif and how I'd play Splinter. Doesn't look like it came up in my tests, though. |

Re: The Book of Master Splinter
The first time a figure is destroyed it means he can attack one additional time when he attacks this round, the second time a figure is destroyed it means he can attack one additional time when he attacks this round (which was already true but is even more true now ). It's not +1 attack, it's turning on the "one additional time" switch.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Master Splinter
Just out of curiosity. What is the reason Master Splinter has a secret ID of Splinter? I mean it's not really a secret and since we have at least two figures now that have a power dealing with secret ID and using it as a leverage against them, it seems odd.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Master Splinter
Odd choice. I wasn't around for this one. I thought he had some samurai name from back in the day? But that might not be as "lunchbox" as this version is going for?

Re: The Book of Master Splinter
Because I reckoned his name ought to be Master Splinter rather than Splinter (felt as iconic to me as the Commissioner is for Gordon), but people told me that if a figure has a name that isn't just their actual name (no titles etc.) then they must have that name as their SI. I thought it was stupid too - I'd much rather just have him as Master Splinter.
The 90s cartoon had Splinter as a Human named Hamato Yoshi who transformed into a rat, but that's an outlier in that respect - most versions of Splinter are rats who became humanoid, more akin to his sons. In IDW continuity he's the reincarnation of ninja master Hamato Yoshi, but we decided reincarnations shouldn't be reflected as SIs (makes the Hawk-people far too complicated). In the 2003 cartoon (the one I know) he was Hamato Yoshi's pet rat before Shredder killed his master, so, y'know, it's a bit of a crapshoot. |

Re: The Book of Master Splinter
Hmm I think in all the preceding cases we at least had a first name to add in for the secret identity (like Commissioner Gordon, James Gordon). Though in retrospect, maybe we should've just gone with Commissioner James Gordon on that one and no secret identity. (Long time back now, though).
