I love your Village by the Crypt. Very Venice-like with its waterways. Spray for mosquitos much?

Keep up the beautfiul maps!

Crossroads

This was a large map we built and played for many weeks. The roads seperated the map into four quadrants. A feature we used to speed up play on this map was that everywhere the road went to the edge of the map, it connected to every other place the road connected to the edge of the map. There were five exit/entrance points. If you were near one, you got pretty nervous if an army was amassing near one of the other ones. We use that feature on most of our large maps now.

Bridge Over Troubled Water

This was one of our longest maps with two main starting zones separated by a long distance and a deep gorge of water with but a narrow bridge connecting them. There was also the desert pathways as a neutral zone with some glyphs and reinforcements for any who wanted to venture there.

Larger res version is in my gallery...

The Road to Ruin

This is the first large map we built with the Volcarren Wasteland sets. It was another long map. This map had twelve distinct starting zones and was optimized for six players. Each player would randomly draw two cards (1-12) that would give them their two starting zones for the game. Generally we played as two teams of three and a few games where it was three teams of two. This was a huge map and if your starting zones isolated you from your teammates....ouch.

I recived a beating many times on this map

Fortress at Land's End

This is one of the early maps where we built a castle from the Mage Knight pieces. My wife Kathy was guest director on a number of elements on this map. I like the randomness of how she thinks.
