NAME OF THE TEST UNIT WEREWOLF

- THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them.

- MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game.

Pass, when ya start wounding, your going to want to finish it off quick before that Healing Factor heals your efforts.

Pass.

- USAGE TEST/ Consider whether or not all of the powers on this card were used or at least usable.
Pass, but Stealth Pounce is hard to pull off.

- STRATEGY TEST/ Consider whether or not the design offers any real strategy or interesting tactics to the overall game.
Pass, going to want to keep hidden, to attempt that Pounce.

Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes.
- What should be the unit's point value? 140.
- Give a brief overview. Wolf is fun to play, but his Pounce is very hard to set up, but when ya do it works nice. His Healing Factor is his best ability though, not many figures can out wound it in this point range. His defense dice rolled pretty lucky too. He consistently Infects his curse on the opponents and he won more than he lost, so I'm leaning towards 140.

Map: Grundy's Grave.
Units:V/S Creeper @ 125.
Werewolf gets first strike, on Creeper, but is unable to get Stealth Pounce off. They wound back and forth, Werewolf up to 4 wounds, and Creeper up to 3 at one point, but they manages to heal them off. Werewolf hangs on in time for Creeper to goes Psychosis for the win.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Werewolf with 0 wounds, Creeper with 1 wound.

TEST 2
Map: Ice Thistle.
Units: V/S Creeper @ 125.
Werewolf tries to get first hit with Stealth Leap in, but is unable and settles for height for the entire game instead. He losses initi majority of the time and is unable to roll well enough before the Crazy Creeper who kept looking for KB, takes him down.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Creeper with 3 Psychosis Markers wins with 2 wounds.

TEST 3
Map: Ice Thistle.
Units: V/S Mockingbird @ 130
Werewolf gets first attack in with Stealth Pounce but is unable to wound. Mockingbird then takes height dealing wounds to Werewolf who moves away but is quickly chased chased down to equal ground. Werewolf was only able to wound once and the combination of Mocking Words and Counterstrike does him in.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Mockingbird wins with 1 wound.

TEST 4
Map: Grundy's Grave.
Units: V/S Boomerang @130.
Boomerang gets first attack in, but is unable to deal deal enough damage to Werewolf who keeps healing them off. No Stealth Pounce, and Return-a-Rang was attack of choice for Boomerang.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Werewolf wins with 2 wounds.

TEST 5
Map: Ice Thistle.
Units: V/S Brainiac 5 @130.
Werewolf tries to get in Stealth Pounce again but is unable. Has height on Brainiac the whole game. Eventually the Shield Belt misses, and Brainiac is unable to wound consistently enough to stand a chance against the Healing Factor of Werewolf.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Werewolf wins unwounded.

TEST 6
Map: Ice Thistle.
Units: V/S Echo @130.
Werewolf gets his Pounce going w/h early dealing great damage, and then takes a LEA to set it up again at next round, but lost Initi. Lots of moving back and forth and laser pointing going on, and such.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Werewolf wins with 0 wounds.

TEST 7
Map: Grundy's Grave.
Units:V/S Jonah Hex @130.
Werewolf gets shot first, gets a couple attacks in dealing wounds but rolls poorly on defense and gets taken down by that Saber weilding cowboy.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Jonah Hex wins with 3 wounds.

TEST 8
Map: Grundy's Grave.
Units: V/S Prowler @130.
Werewolf gets shot first, moves in dealing damage on Prowler who glides away and shoots at Werewolf, who hides behind a tree. Wins Initi, then Stealth Pounces in for nice damage, but gives up height doing so. Stands strong healing wounds and takes out Prowler.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Werewolf with 1 wound.

TEST 9
Map: Grundy's Grave.
Units: V/S Black Cat @135.
Black Cat gets first strike, and with nice rolls on her Bad Luck Aura reducing Wolf's attack, keeping her around, but she can't out wound the Healing Factor and goes down eventually. Who won and how many wounds did they have? Werewolf wins unwounded.

TEST 10
Map: Ice Thistle.
Units: V/S Joker II.
Wolf works hard to set up Pounce and gets it with winning Iniit, dealing a damage, Joker has height and continues to miss with his Toxin, but Laughs it off taking the win. (summary).
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Joker wins with 3 wounds.

- Give a brief overview. It was over as soon as it began.

Units: V/S Street Thugs (x2-1 for 7 total thugs)

Street Thugs on Asphalt do the Wolf in quickly, he destroys only 1, and misses the other attack he got in the game.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Street Thugs win with 6 Figures.

- Give a brief overview. This one was over in the second round. Werewolf almost lost on the 2nd OM in round 1 though.

Hawks get first attack in and almost KO a whiffing Werewolf but he still comes back for the win healing wounds in the process, and always getting a KO with his attack.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Werewolf wins with 2 wounds.

Army Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Pass.
- What should be the unit's point value? 140 feels ok after this one, they didn't have a chance to shine much though.
- Give a brief overview. Werewolf's teammates carried them this game, taking out the Android converted Iron-Men. End game had a Werewolf taking out a wounded Mark V w/h though. His team wins big even though they were at a Species disadvantage.

Units: Team 1. Werewolf, (@140 X2) Morbius, Vampire Minions. (X3) 800 points
Team 2. Iron Man (Mark IV, V, and Stealthsuit) 800 points.

Spoiler Alert!

Round 1
Mark V comes down the center with the other Iron Men on either side of map, attack the incoming Minions taking out 1. Morbius moves in and deals 3 to Stealthsuit who had height.
Round 2.
Morbius Stealth Fly's to height and takes out StealthSuit. Mark V moves deals 1 to Wolf (black), Mark 4 moves in dealing another to him. Wolf (brown) attacks Mark 4 who blocks. Mark V is blocked by Wolf Black, Mark 4 takes a L-E-A and is blocked by a Minion and Wolf brown. Minions surround Mark 4 and destroy him. Mark V runs away and misses a Minion.
Round 3.
Mark V moves attacks Morbius w/h dealing 1. Minions move up, 1 attacks, gets bloodthirsty but deals one only to Mark V who had height. Mark V moves back takes a L-E-A and attacks Minion who stealth dodges. Wolf brown moves up. Mark V moves attacks w/Stealth Blast SA on Wolf Brown w/h dealing 3. Brown engages and attacks Mark V w/h but is blocked. then Heals 1.
Round 4.
Brown attacks again and is blocked, then heals 1. Mark V fires back w/h dealing 2. (T3) Wolf again attacks destroying him, then heals 1.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Team 1 wins. Morbius with 1 wound, Werewolf brown with 2 wounds, Werewolf black with 2 wounds, Vampire Minions (X3 -1 for 8 total survivors.)

Army Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes.
- What should be the unit's point value? 140 sees about right.
- Give a brief overview. Werewolf's did pretty good in this game, infecting 3 mutants, destroying the Mutants synergy. They also KO'd Gambit who was rolling great with his 5CDSA . Never got in a Stealth Leap though, and was targeted often and destroyed pretty quick.

Units: Team 1. Werewolf, (@140 X2) Graviton, Green Lantern (John Stewart) 1000 points.
Team 2. Professor X, Angel, Wolverine, Gambit, Jubilee, Spider-Girl) 1000 points.

Spoiler Alert!

Round 1.
Graviton moves out. Angel carries Wheels to knob and Spidergirl swings out. John carries the Wolves ends adj to Graviton. SpiderGirl moves adj to both Wolves, and is blocked. Gambit vaults out. attacks w/5 card draw on Wolf Black, forcing a Battery to be removed, rest are blocked. Spidergirl misses the roll and is attacked by Black Wolf but she blocks. Gambit attacks w/5CD again forcing 2 more battery to be removed, (that's three, 2 skull rolls total, for 5CD) Jubilee moves.
Round 2.
Gambit attacks Black again w/5CD dealing 4 on another 2 skull roll and whiff, rest are blocked. Jubilee moves attacks w/FWSA on John affecting all team 2 units, but misses. Graviton moves, throws and deals 1 to Gambit. Gambit is locked down, so he attacks w/5CD on Graviton w/h dealing 2, continuing his nice attack rolls. Jubilee attacks w/FWSA on John again, affecting both Wolfs but is blocked. Wolf Black moves attacks Spidergirl dealing 1 and infecting her. then Heals 1. (t3) Gambit Vaults and attacks Black who blocks. Jubilee attacks Black but is blocked. Wolf Black attacks and destroys Gambit. then Heals 1. (t2)
Round 3.
Wolf Black is field Pulsed. Wolverine is grasped, Jubilee attacks Black and Spidergirl w/FWSA. 2 attacks deals 1 to each. Graviton throws Spidey Girl twice dealing damage both times, destroying her. Tries to Throw Wolf but misses. Jubilee attack Black w/FWSA destroying him. Wolverine is grasped. OM lost was on Wolf Black. Angel moves carries Wolverine adj to Graviton. Attacks Graviton w/h but is blocked.
Round 4.
Graviton throws Wolverine, Jubilee and Angel dealing 1 to Angel. Wolverine is Grasped, Jubilee takes a L-E-A moves adj to and attacks Graviton w/FWSA but is blocked. Wolf Brown moves in attacks Jubilee w/h dealing 1 and infecting her. Wolverine moves attacks Wolf Brown dealing 2. Jubilee still Sidekicking attacks w/h on Brown Wolf dealing 2. Wolf attacks Wolverine dealing 1 and Infecting him. Wolverine attacks Brown destroying him. Continues to attack Graviton w/h but is blocked. Heals for 1. No multi-activations now for team 1.
Round 5.
Graviton throws Wolverine and Jubilee, dealing 1 to Jubilee. Wolverine moves adj and attacks Graviton w/h who blocks. Graviton throws Wolverine, Angel and deals a wound to them. Wolverine is Grasped. He Heals, Graviton continues to throw and deal damage to Angel. (t3) Wolverine still Grasped.
Round 6.
Wolverine moves adj to and attacks Graviton, who blocks. Graviton throws and deals 2 on Wolverine. Wolverine is grasped, but heals 1. Graviton throws Angel destroying him. Continues to Throw on Wolverine dealing another. (t2) Wolverine moves deals 1 to Graviton. then Heals one. Graviton throws dealing damage again which is healed at end of round (X OM )
Round 7.
More of the same Graviton throwing Wolverine, Jubilee destroys her. and deals 2 to Xavier. Wolverine is fully healed and Grasped several times.
Round 8.
Wolverine gets a wounds on Graviton, (t4) Graviton deals 1 to Xavier and some to Wolverine which are then Healed.
Round 9.
Graviton destroys Xavier, Wolverine gets a wound on Graviton. (t5)
Round 10.
Wolverine isn't grasp moves and finishes off Graviton and rest of team 2's OM. Then moves onto John destroying him by end of round for the win.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Team 2 wins. Wolverine unwounded.

Army Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? NO.
- What should be the unit's point value? I'm back to thinking 120 after this one.
- Give a brief overview. It went badly almost from the start for team 1. Wolf Brown was KO'd before he did anything. He was threatening to move up ladder and wound Jean, when she and Jubilee teamed up and brought him down with great attack rolls. Wolf black had a couple of chances to wound once with Stealth leap, but was unable to infect anyone. The movement boost allowed team 2 to set up on height and really take it to team 1 and they never looked back in this blowout.
Map: Hydra Base Gehenna (slightly modified to be symmetrical in the middle) (all C3G optional rules and no glyphs)
Units: Team 1. Baron Zemo, Blade, Werewolf (x2) Winter Soldier 920 points.
Team 2. Magneto V2, Destiny, Avalanche, Jubilee, Jean Grey, Toad, Moloid (as filler) 920 points.

Jean Grey is the Outcast Recruit. Magneto is the Mark.

Round 1.
Not much action in this round. Both teams are moving out. Avalanche takes out some Battlements with his ASA allowing, Toad, Jean and Jubilee to move, Jean continues up the ladder, Jubilee moves towards mid map, Magneto moves to platform for team 2. Both Werewolves move to opposite sides of platforms, Blade moves towards middle, with Winter soldier moving up right behind since his mark revealed an OM.

Round 2.
Avalanche does his ESA moving the Outcasts more. Werewolf Brown moves to ladder landing at opponents platform. Jean moves and misses the throw on him but with height deals 3 to Wolf Brown. Jubilee engages brown and with a FSA destroys him. Good attack rolls on both (3 or more) bring him down. Blade is in a bad spot so he moves, and gives up his attack to stay out of range. Magneto moves adj to Jean and attacks w/h on WS who blocks. Mags throws a Battlement at WS but misses. Jubilee kicks in moves and FWSA on that Ruined battlement but all is blocked. Werewolf Black moves.

Round 3.
WS moves back into SZ and attacks Jubilee, dealing 2. Magneto moves throw Zemo for 2 wounds and back into SZ away from Adhesive range. Jubilee moves and attacks both Zemo and WS with FWSA dealing another to Zemo, (t3) while WS blocks. Zemo moves up into range and w/h destroys Jubilee. Mags is adhesive Trapped! Zemo moves back into SZ out of range. Magneto (WS moves back) has a decision to make, move off platform and bring the fight to Team 1 in their SZ or stay and throw Blade, he decides to take it to Zemo, he throws him destroying him and deals 1 to WS with 2nd throw. Zemo dead OM.

Round 4.
Wolf black moves and attacks Mags, 4 shields blocks his efforts. Mags throw wolf for 2 wounds onto platform. Wolf falls off platform for 1 and attacks Mags again. who blocks the 2 skull roll. Wolf heals 1. (t2) Mags throws Wolf again for 1 and back onto Platform. Blade moves (Jean misses the Grasp) and attacks w/h on Mags, who blocks both. Mags throws Wolf again for a wound. (t4)

Round 5.
WS attacks Mags w/h who easily blocks the 1 skull roll. Mags throw WS for 2. (t3) WS attacks Mags w/h who only blocks 1 and takes 4. (t4) Mags Fly's to Platform. and destroys WS. with another throw. Blade Vampiric Tracks him down and with Daywalker destroys Mags. Mags Dead OM.

Round 6.
Toad moves to ladder landing on Team 1's platform. Wolf moves back heals 1. (t3) Jean moves down ladder. Blade moves, and w/h deals 2 to Toad. Jean moves throws (off platform) but fails to wound Blade, then attacks him w/h but is blocked. Wolf falls off platform, (t4) and Stealth Pounces Jean, but the 2 skull roll is blocked. then He heals 1. (t3)

Round 7.
Jean throws Wolf Black for another wound and then destroys him with her attack. Wolf dead OM. Jean throws Blade and then attacks him w/h again, dealing 2. (t2) Blade Daywalks through Jean but misses, moves to Ladder and attacks w/h on her dealing 1. Jean throws and attacks w/h on Blade destroying him.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? Team 2 wins, Avalanche, Destiny, Moloid unwounded, Toad with 2 wounds, and Jean with 1 wounds survive.

I'd say 140 overall so far, with the army tests still to go.

Updated the SP with spelling edits from ERB, and points are at 140 now.

140 looks good to me. He didn't get to use the Stealth Pounce as much as I would have liked, but did manage to pull it off a couple times. Performed well against other 130 pointers with his Healing Factor working nicely. Got taken down and took down some squaddies, in a hurry in those games. In the Army tests, he was out shined by his teammates in one and destroyed the Mutants Synergy in the other which was key for his team.

I could be convinced to drop Stealth Pounce off it's card. It is a pain to pull off without Stealth Leap. It makes it hardly worth having it on the card and could reduce the points some. Used it only 4 times combined in all tests.

I think it's fine as is personally. If we remove Stealth Pounce I'd want something similar to replace it, like Pounce Special Attack.

I want the LD to be happy. REJ, do you like it as-is? Would you rather take off the power entirely? Or do you want to change it to something like Sabretooth's Devastating Pounce?

I like the Stealth Pounce. It won't come into play often but it's very much a werewolf thing to do... no personal qualms.

Also, different maps will help get Stealth Pounce more action. HYDRA Base Gehenna for example has both shadow tiles and lots of LOS blockers with castle walls. X-Marks the Spot has some LOS blockers with the warehouses and castle walls, not to mention having some shadow tiles. 18-Wheeler DO's can block LOS as well and can be move around by the Werewolf to get to the figure on the other side of it that was out of LOS at the start of his turn.

So helping get the max out of Stealth Pounce can be a matter of a player choosing to draft these guys on maps that offer the right things for them. That's no unlike other designs that rely on water, lava, asphalt/concrete, trees or high height.

I like Stealth Pounce on the card. It was so hard to pull off though, I wanted to get others opinions if it was worth keeping. Seems like we all like it on there.
Still about 12 hours on the clock, before I can propose to move to playtesting.
