Re: Bookshelf Skyscraper Brainstorming
More art to check out. See which ones strike your fancy. I can try different background graphics besides the marble if anyone has a suggestion. The solid color looks pretty good.

Re: Bookshelf Skyscraper Brainstorming
I like the plain white background ones, to make them stand out on the marble.

Re: The Book of Skyscraper - Public Playtesting
All right, all flooring and roofing has been printed and properly installed and appears to fit well, other than maybe a bit of overhang on the roof on the closed side. There's a tiny, tiny bit of overhang on each level on the front side once the back is aligned, but that seems unavoidable.
The front hexes line up really nicely from level to level. The back hexes and how they line up if you want to fly from level to level is a bit harder to grok. But I think it's doable. In our terrain rules, did we ever rule what size a hex has to be in order for you to move through it? Because in the back on the second floor there are some real scrap sized hexes. I'm not sure what to do with those, because I think they're technically windows under our rules set, but I don't want them to be. Otherwise the back end of the second floor is like seven windows, and it should be three (there are three about half-sized hexes and then four scrap sized hexes there). Current window line up would be: Ground Floor/Second Floor Front: 3 windows (3 half hexes each) Second Floor Back: 6 windows (3 half hexes and 3 scrap hexes) Ground Floor Back: 4 windows (4 half hexes) The 4 to 3 conversion is a bit odd, but manageable. How do we get those four scrap hexes out of the picture? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Skyscraper - Public Playtesting
The other thing we'll need to figure out is recommendations for adhering these to the actual shelf. I think the print outs on paper look good as is, they just need to be secured in a way that will hold up. I worry most about the roof coming up over time and curling on the edges/tearing around where the pegs are.

Re: Bookshelf Skyscraper Brainstorming
Can we make these inserts glyph/double glyph (for elevator shafts) shaped?

Re: The Book of Skyscraper - Public Playtesting
Just print new ones when they wear out.
For the partial hexes if a wound marker fits in it, you can move through it. We can print the ground floor and use it on the second floor of you can except the hangover Or you can do what I suggested and wedge a piece of foam in there to make up the space. If anything hangs over just trim it back a little more. |
