Anytime Multiplex rolls defense against an attack if he rolls a blank, you may immediately switch him with a Duploid figure you control. The Duploid receives any wounds from the attack and if it's destroyed place it on Multiplex's card instead.

Penguin has Multiplex, the Bodyguards, and Parasite advance with Criminal Syndicate.
Donny advances, staff vaults forward, then fails to anti-grav Mikey to him.
Penguin has Multiplex, the Bodyguards, and Parasite advance with Criminal Syndicate.
Leo advances and advances Raph with Turtle Power!
Before Multiplex takes a turn, he places the Duploids. Before Multiplex moves, the Duploids take a turn. The Multiplix moves, but neither he nor the Duploids are in attack range.

Round 2: Initiative Turtles. Leo and Ralph advance, but can’t get in attack range.
Multiplex and the Duploids advance, but can’t attack.
Donatello Staff Vaults to height on a Duplex and KO’s it.
Multiplex goes. Before he moves, the Duploids go and hit Donnie for a wound. The Anti-Grav Gauntlet goes flying, Multiplex picks it up, the Duploids attack again and hit Donnie for a wound, then Multiplex fails on an Anti-Grav toss attempt.
Mikey hits a Duploid and just brings the fallen one back. He fails to Cowabunga.
Penguin sends Parasite and the Bodyguards forward with Criminal Syndicate and fails to hit Donatello.

Round 3: Initiative Criminal Syndicate. Multiplex goes. The Duploids hit Donnie for a wound, fail to hit Leo, and a third falls to Lock and Strike. Multiplex moves. Duploids attack again. They fail to hit Donnie or Leo. Then Multiplex finishes Donnie with the Anti-Grav gauntlet.
Leo dispatches a Duploid, goes Turtle Power, and Raph’s double attack brings both fallen Duploids back, then Mikey advances, Cowabunga’s, hits Multiplex, but he pulls a Duploid to take the hit instead.
Multiplex goes. Duploids hit Raph for two wounds on a second attack from Multiplex.
Donnie had OM2.
The Duploids KO Raphael, then Parasite leeches onto Mikey for a wound.
Multiplex puts a Duploid on his card.

Round 4: Initiative Criminal Syndicate. Mutliplex places a Duploid, all three get to attack twice on Leo, but can’t land hits, then Duplex uses the Anti-Grav Gauntlet and hits Mikey for a wound.
Leo goes. He fails twice from height to KO a Duploid (once due to a blank on defense), then Mikey attacks Multiplex, but he sacrifices a Duploid to take the hit. No Cowabunga.
Duploids attack Leo twice for one wound, then Parasite KO’s Mikey with his D20 power.
Leo goes. He attacks Multiplex, who lets a Dupe take the wound for him. Leo refuses to use his second attack against a Dupe on height for fear of it bringing a fallen Dupe back.
Duploids go. The last of them fails to hit Leo. Parasite advances.
Mikey had OM3.
Multiplex puts a Duploid on his card.

Round 5: Initiative Criminal Syndicate. Multiplex places a Duploid and then they KO Leo.

Unit Summary: Hmm, my gut reaction is that we went too far over into negative play experience for an enemy going after them. The Turtles really had no recourse here, as the Duploids just came back again and again. I had pretty consistent luck rolling one or more blanks on four dice, but it was pretty brutal overall. I’m going to try this team again before suggesting any changes, though.

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): Never attacked, in order to get the Duploids more attacks.
• BIO-FISSION: Used to place (4) figures on the battlefield and (2) back on his card.
• DUPLOID DIVERSION: Prevented (0) potential attacks and (0) leaving engagement attacks on Multiplex Felt redundant and cuttable, but I’m not sure I ever missed a blank on Multiplex Master. I’m not convinced keeping both powers is needed or desirable.
• MULTIPLEX MASTER: Used for ( Duploid attacks; switched figures (3) times to save Multiplex from (3) wounds.
• Damage Taken:

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Penguin with Full Life and all Investment Markers, Parasite with Full Life, Multiplex with Full Life, and two Duploids win.

Round 2: Initiative Birds of Prey. Green Arrow goes. Speed Shot fails to hit a Duploid. Green Arrow follows the Secret Attack Plan and triggers Duploid Diversion and Multiplex is forced to sacrifice a Duploid.
Parasite goes. He advances and sends the two remaining Duploids out. One engages Green Arrow and hits for a wound.
Canary advances and KO’s a Duploid, then Robin fails an attack on Parasite from height.
Multiplex goes. He places a Duploid back, moves behind a tree, sends two of them out, one attacks Robin who flips away, and so he can’t give an extra attack due to lack of targets.
Black Canary engages Parasite but she, Green Arrow, and Robin all fail to hit him, despite height and a good Skill Shot roll.
Multiplex goes. Duploids put two wounds on Green Arrow in two attacks.
Multiplex pulls a Duploid back to his card.

Round 3: Initiative Criminal Syndicate. Multiplex places a Duploid, they fail two attacks on Canary and take out Green Arrow.
Black Canary hits Parasite from height for three wounds, Robin follows the Secret Attack Plan from height to hit Parasite for a fourth, and they come just short of taking Parasite out.
Parasite goes. The Duploids fail to hit anyone but Parasite transfers a wound to Black Canary.
Black Canary KO’s Parasite and Robin whiffs an attack on Multiplex.
Multiplex has Duploids attack twice and they put a wound on Black Canary and Red Arrow.
Black Canary goes. She Cries and KO’s a Bodyguard, but can’t hit a blank rolling Duploid. Robin hits Multiplex for two wounds from height disadvantage.

Round 4: Initiative Criminal Syndicate. Multiplex gets the Duploids double attacks and they put two wounds on Robin and one on Red Arrow.
Red Arrow fails an attack on a blank rolling Duploid.
Multiplex goes. Double attacking Duploids KO Red Arrow.
Black Canary goes. She Cries and KO’s a Duploid. Robin swings at Multiplex and another Duploid falls instead.
Multiplex places the Duploid back and Duploids use double attacks, failing to finish Canary, but KO’ing Oracle.
Oracle KO’s a Duploid.
At the end of the round, Multiplex returns a Duploid to his card.

Round 5: Initiative Birds of Prey thanks to Oracle largely loading up. Canary cries and a Duploid takes a hit for Multiplex. Robin follows the Secret Attack Plan and hits Multiplex for two wounds.
Multiplex returns two Duploids and they can’t finish Canary with double attacks.
Oracle advances.
Multiplex goes. Duploids again fail to hit Canary on double attacks.
Oracle advances.
Penguin moves Multiplex out of engagement and the Duploids KO Canary with Criminal Syndicate.

Round 6: Initiative Birds of Prey. Robin attacks a Duploid from height and brings the KO’ed Duploid back.
Multiplex goes. Duploids go after Robin, but Acrobatic Maneuverability limits their attacks to one.
Robin KO’s a Duploid.
Penguin fails to finish Robin off with Criminal Syndicate.
Robin attacks a Duploid and brings the fallen one back.
Penguin uses Criminal Syndicate to KO Robin.

Round 7: Initiative Criminal Syndicate. Duploids attack twice but can’t put down Oracle.
Oracle can’t touch a Duploid thanks to the blank.
Duploids double attack and put Oracle down.

Unit Summary: Still felt too impossible. As long as Multiplex had turns coming, if you attacked him a Duploid took the wound and then he placed them on his next turn and if you attacked a Duploid they just respawned. It was way too powerful. There just felt like no good options. Less annoying/confusing to play as, but not quite there yet to play against.

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): Never attacked.
• MULTIPLEX MASTER: Used to place (7) Duploids and give them extra attacks (17) times.
• DUPLOID DIVERSION: Switched figures (3) times to save Multiplex from (3) wounds.
• MULTIPLEX MASTER: Returned (2) Duploids to his card.
• Damage Taken: Took 4 wounds.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Multiplex with 1/5 Life, all three Duploids, and Full Life/Full Marker Penguin win.

Summary: Multiplex only really brought one Duploid back, but he got plenty of double attacks in with the Duploids, proving his worth. Karat sold out on Multiplex, going after him first, which limited his upside, but doing so gave Parasite more legs to stand on. The double attacks from Multiplex helped them take the Turtles down. Duploid Diversion never came into play, thanks to the multiple Stealth Leap abilities on the Turtles. Without that, Multiplex might've been tougher to take down.

Playing Multiplex is definitely less of a brain burn when you only play one side! And he's no longer obnoxious levels in his ability to bring the Duploids back.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Penguin with 3/4 Life and no markers, Parasite with 4/5 of Life, and one Duploid win.[/spoiler]

Something is not translating here and I don't think you understood what I was saying earlier. See if this makes sense.

1st power, You start the game with all Duploids on your card and at the start of a round you can put a destroyed Duploid on this card.

2nd power, You can place all your previously destroyed Duploids adjacent to Multiplex

Yet there is no way to put the original (not destroyed) Duploids from your card on to the map.

It's OK, you're not the only one. A lotta moving parts in this one. Once japes posts what he wants for the next adjustment, I'll try to get with Karat to test him again. I think this is one I need to test with a partner going forward, and Karat is pretty heavily invested.

Once @Karat comments on my last post I think I have what I want there. Just need confirmation that what I want and how that actually plays level out.

We are straddling a very fine line between thematically making him feel like he's the same DNA as the Duploids and not being annoyingly unfunny to play against. It's taken some work. Luckily these guys have been extremely patient with me. While at the same time forcibly holding me true to the design intent.

I just had an error in Bio-Fission. It should've been placing figures from his card, not previously destoyed ones.
