Deadly Strike vs. Counter Strike

Alright, I have Migol Ironwill vs. Kaemon Awa in a one on one for the game!
Now, I rolled 2 skulls for Migol. My opponent rolled 3 sheilds. Does this mean they both take wounds for that attack? Migol from counterstrike, and Kaemon from critical hit. Or am I using deadly strike wrong? Does deadly strike count as extra skulls? or extra wounds if the "hit" gets through?

As I understand it.....

2 skulls for Migol = 4 hits
3 shields for KA = 3 defense

KA takes 1 wound.

Ah, but wouldn't Migol also take a wound based on the fact that Kaemon rolled more sheilds? That's what I'm not sure of!

I don't think so....Since all 3 shields are used to block the 4 hits, there are no "excess shields" to count as unblockable hits.

For what it's worth I agree. I think your opponent is a rule's lawyer and you should find someone else to play with. Forsooth, both units take wounds?

Deadly strike basicaly means any Skulls rolled are doubled in number.

The same rule applies for Evil Eye Defence.

Yes, but since they are not "rolled" per se, as in the counter strike description, does that mean counter strike also does a wound because the shields outnumber the number of skulls physically rolled?

No, 2 skulls with Deadly strike counts as 4, simple as that. If the fig with CS rolled 3 shields, then its 4 vs 3, not 2 vs 3.
