Title:
Heroscape - Dragon Wars
Event Description:Swiss style tournament lasting 4 rounds with no final. Up to 32 players bring their own 450 point pre-made army (that MUST include Dragon Unique Hero), Army Cards, dice, Order Markers, Wound Markers, and any special tokens required. Players win by destroying or "gaining control of" their opponent's highest points valued Dragon. The top 4 players win prizes.

Title:Heroscape - General Wars
Event Description:Swiss style tournament with 50 positions, lasting 5 rounds with no final. The tournament is played in one hour rounds using 3rd edition rules. The highest ranked player in each General class wins prizes.

Title:Heroscape - Jumpstart
Event Description:Single elimination tournament lasting 3 rounds split into 8 man heats. Up to 32 players bring their own 450 point pre-made army (Players may not include DW9000 in their army), Army Cards, dice, Order Markers, Wound Markers, and any special tokens required. Players can activate the broken down DW9000 that has been placed in the middle of the map. Successfully activating DW9000 means you may add him to your army. Additional rule details given before the event.
Registrations Available: 0

Check at the beginning of your attack phase. If you have at least one small or medium figure that activated this turn, adjacent to DW9000, and if your opponent doesn't also have a figure adjacent to him, then during your attack phase with that figure, you may use DW9000's normal attack instead of that figure's. If at the beginning of your attack phase, you have two small or medium figures from the same squad that you activated this turn, adjacent to DW9000 and no enemy figures, then they may exchange both of their attacks for DW9000's special explosion attack. If at the beginning of any of your turns, you have at least three small or medium figures you control adjacent to DW9000 and no enemy figures, then you may immediately “jumpstart” DW9000 and add him to your army by removing any three of those adjacent figures and placing them on DW9000's card. These figures may not be used while on the DW‘s army card, even if their army card has an order marker on it. Add DW9000 and his card to your army until the end of the game. You now control DW9000 as if he is part of your drafted army. Once a player takes control of DW9000, if later in the game DW is destroyed, choose one of the three figures that are on DW9000’s card and place it on the space DW9000 was standing when destroyed. place the other 2 figures adjacent to that figure. If a figure cannot be placed for any reason, destroy that figure. If the game ends, any player who controls DW9000 may add his points to his remaining total, and any figures on DW9000’s card are not considered destroyed. At no time during Jumpstart may DW9000 be affected by Mindshackle or any other ability similar in nature. DW9000 may not be moved or attacked until he is controlled by a player.

Event Description:Swiss style tournament lasting 4 rounds with no final. Up to 32 players bring their own 450 point pre-made army (Players may not include Raelin in their army), Army Cards, dice, Order Markers, Wound Markers, and any special tokens required. Players win by capturing the unconscious Raelin that is in the center of the map, and bringing her back to their start zone. The top 4 players win prizes.

By R˙chean:
Raelin starts in the middle of the battlefield and is never controlled by either player. Raelin never takes damage and cannot be destroyed. Raelin can not be the target of an attack and cannot be subjected to, nor affected by, any special ability. Figures may not pass through Raelin even if they have powers that allow them to move through figures. Raelin does not count to either player's point total. Her Defensive Aura is activated for the figures you control while you have at least one figure adjacent to her. If both players have a least one figure adjacent to her, then her Defensive Aura is not active. At the beginning of any of your turns, if a figure on the card that you are taking a turn with, is adjacent to Raelin and if your opponent doesn't have a figure adjacent to Raelin, then during your move phase, that figure may "drag" Raelin. If the chosen card has a special move ability such as flying, stealth flying, grapple, climb, leap, charge…etc that figure will be unable to use that special move ability during it's move phase. The chosen figure may not increase its move value from terrain or from any power on a glyph or card. Move the chosen figure. After you move that figure place Raelin adjacent to that figure. Raelin can be placed no more than 4 hexes away from where she was prior to the figure's move. Raelin can only be moved once per order marker. At the end of your move, if Raelin has been "drug" onto any of your starting zone hexes and is not adjacent to any of your opponent's figures, you win the game. Players can also win the game be destroying all of the opponent's figures.

Event Description:Single elimination tournament played in 8 man heats. Players bring their own 450 point pre-made army, Army Cards, dice, Order Markers, Wound Markers, and any special tokens required. Players are encouraged to bring an all flying army. At the end of each game round, a die is rolled for each non flying figure on the board. Any skull rolled, means that figure immediately receives one wound. Flying figures are not affected. The top 4 players win prizes.

Glyphs will be announced prior to the event. Marvel units are not permitted. Participant prizes for all 16 qualifiers and additional prizes to the top 8 finishers.

Army Cards, dice, Order Markers, Wound Markers, and any special tokens required. 24 hex start zones. Glyphs will be announced prior to the event. Prizes awarded to the top four finishers.

Players draft their 450-point armies using standard drafting rules. Game begins is soon as drafting is complete. Advancing players re-draft with each new game. Event Description:This event is open to all players. 50 positions. This is a 5 round Swiss tournament with no final. Players bring order markers, wound markers, dice, cards, and a pre-drafted 450-point Heroscape army that does not exceed 24 hexes. Glyphs will be announced prior to the event. Marvel units are not permitted. Prizes awarded to the top four finishers.

Ok I am going to ask the question...

Can you sign-up for 2 events at the same time? (i.e. I am going to sign up for Championship Top 16 in case I make the top 16 but if not I want to make sure I can get into one of the other Saturday morning events.)

Last year, you did not sign up for the second day and there was NO cost associated with it.

Last year, you did not sign up for the second day and there was NO cost associated with it.
Ok so what happens if you make the championship and you already signed up for one of the other events?

If you want to sign up for two go right ahead. I believe that is one of the incentives.

BTW, FOLKS!! If you see any errors in the event list just hold tight while we work those out. I have not reviewed them yet but trust that any errors will be sorted out completely before this goes live!!

The latest email that I got from Gencon stated that you could NOT sign up for multiple events at the same time....and included instructions for unregistering for events via-email.

You will not have to sign up for the second day. You have to qualify for that. If you signed up for another event but you rocked the house and made the second day, I am sure you will be able to sell your conflicting event ticket. (very easily)

When will sign-up for events officially open, and how do we do it? I only went to the GenCon site the one time to get my badge, so I'm a complete newbie with all this.
