Re: The Book of John Constantine
Justice League Dark is near the top of my to-read list. I watched the CW show called Constantine when it ran for a season a few years back, but it wasn't that good.
Like Superheroes and Comics?

I also highly recommend classic Hellblazer to anyone looking to learn more about John Constantine. The Garth Ennis run, starting at issue 41, is a stone-cold classic. |

I kind of liked his solo show on NBC that was canceled.

Re: The Book of John Constantine
Hellblazer is fantastic. I love that he rarely used any magic in it, he was just himself. Such a crazy awesome story, I never got to the end and at this point I'd have to start totally over anyway.

Re: The Book of John Constantine
I got on a bit of a nostalgia kick today, and decided to poke around on here and look at a lot of the new designs that were released since I was last active, and I just wanted to say that I really love how this design ended up. Long time members will know that I really put a lot of thought into the initial design, and was very reluctant to hand it off last time I was slightly active, lol.
But I'm incredibly happy with how it turned out, and how the final version stayed true to my initial vision of the character! But also, after seeing that he finally made it through the design process, I can't help but feel a bit of pride in the fact that the final version is still recognizably the design I worked so hard on, just appropriately balanced after lots of playtesting. I was shooting for the Vertigo version of the character, who had a very obtuse, esoteric power set. So it was really hard to figure out how to translate those powers through the rules of the game, while staying true to the character. The final version is clearly faithful to the character, and I'm really glad to see that all the work I put into the character actually mattered in the end! Thanks to everyone who put in the time and hard work to make sure this design finally got released, and for the efforts shown throughout the whole process to try and make sure he was acurately represented on the card! life's short, why not make an impact on the world? make some peoples lives better, have a few good laughs, and then when it's all over go out with BANG! |
