I don't know about anyone else, but I think a comprehensive list of where C3G units fit in the Rock/Paper/Scissors scene would help me better understand the whole competitive scene better. I don't want to create more work for you though.

Fun fact: the difference between turtles and tortoises is that turtles are marine animals with flippers and tortoises are land animals with feet. In flashbacks, you can plainly see that baby Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo and Michelangelo have feet rather than finns. Therefore, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are actually tortoises.

Tortoises are just a term we have for land-dwelling turtles; biologically there's no real distinction and they're all part of the order Testudines.

Looking it up more, I see you're right - it isn't as clear cut as most species differentitions, and even biologists use the word turtle more generally. I just found the thought of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles being tortoises strangely funny.

At least it's more correct than one of Marvel's animal teams - one member of the Super-Apes is actually a monkey, not an ape, and the difference between those is much more clear cut, even though most people aren't aware of it.
