Re: Thundercats Workshop
I'd consider looking at the mechanics we settled on for He-Man and seeing if Lion-O's sword set up could mirror things more (just in terms of what it takes to lose it and which mechanics are placed where). They seem to be fairly parallel characters, so I like trying to maintain a consistent aesthetic between them.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Thundercats Workshop
Lion-O would need some Batman (II) style language letting him equip multiple glyphs.

Re: Thundercats Workshop
In the original as I remember it, he races Cheetara across open land, the kids he goes against in a maze.
Lion-O takes a shorter more difficult route as he knows he cannot win otherwise. They both run into challenges but end up in the same place a short distance from the finish line and he ends up winning. Though I think there is some additional factor, like maybe she was exhausted or possibly injured, I think the mutants attacked them at some point. Kit and Kat he ties them together with a rope or something and they get hung up on a rock. That one is really creepy, the kids run into an underground race that plans on forcing them to read to them because they are blind. Panthro and Tygra I think he just straight up beats. Tygra in a astral plane style battle. |

Re: Thundercats Workshop
Cheetara has a weakness we find out in that episode - she can only run at superspeed for short distances. The race is just past that distance. They end up running the last part on equal footing.

Re: Thundercats Workshop
Yeah, that's how I remember it too. Lion-o can't beat cheetara in a speed race, but he can beat her in a long distance race

Re: Thundercats Workshop
BTW, forgot to mention that those are EXCELLENT customs! Beast, Caliban, and Shana (or Tigra), I beleive. How did you do Panthros ears? Any ideas for Mumm-Ra mini? I was thinking the Hulk from The Incredible Hulk set would be a good start.

I was going to make 2 figures for Mumm-Ra. One for his Ever-living and one for his decayed mummy. The Ever-living I have something on order that I hope will work. But here is my decaying mummy version.
Spoiler Alert!

Re: Thundercats Workshop
I also think Killraven could work for Lion-O. Would have to do some work on the sword, but he has the hair and the action stance.

That's not bad. My first try was going to be Talon, but I hated how the base figure looked after I bought it. I have something on order right now for Lion-O and hopefully I have a mod done soon. |
