KoTH Scenario
Me and 4 other friends are playing a KoTH (King of the hill) secenario on a map we built. I can't seem to upload the picture from my desktop, but it's a symmetrical H map with a large cavern in the middle. Each point being a starting zone, so 4 starting zones.
Now we have 5 people and we are trying to make it a fair game. One idea was set a round limit and who ever has the most figures on top of the hill on the last round wins. I think the only problem with this is, no one has incentive to go for the hill till the end. Which would kind take away from feel of the scenario. Another idea was at the end of every round each person gets a point for each figure they control on top of the hill. Now, the problem with this one is the 5th person would have to start on the hill and he would just get a bunch of points of the bat. So my question is, do any of you fellow 'scapers have and ideas on how to make this scenario fair for everyone. Thank You! |

Re: KoTH Scenario
The rocks at each corner being built as starting zones for 4 players. The only logical place to start a 5th player is in the middle. Alternatively, we could add two more smaller zones between the 2 main ones on each side of the map, and force player 5 to split the army in half. The downfall with that is that player 5 has 4 opponents by the end of round 1... Last edited by bradtato; July 17th, 2012 at 08:53 PM. Reason: Threw in more details. |

Re: KoTH Scenario
Awesome map. I love KotH.
I would have player 5 start in the middle on the sides. Behind the ruins and between the trees. They have the disadvantage of being split in two and basically taking on all other players but they are closer to the hill and very close to high ground. For the ending scenario try this. At the end of each round, starting with round 2, roll a d20. On a 20+ the game is over. Add 5 to the roll after every round starting with round 3. So for each round the game ends on a d20 roll of Round 1 NA R2 20 R3 15+ R4 10+ R5 5+ R6 Game Over at the end of the round. Score it how you want. I would give bonus points for Heroes.
